TN NEET Rank List 2021: The directorate of Medical Education (DME) is the conducting authority that will release the TN NEET rank list on its official website tnhealth.tn.gov.in.

TN NEET Rank List 2021

The NEET 2021 results have been issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and they will be sent to the MCC and the state counselling offices for the exam. The MCC compiles the All India Quota Merit List based on information provided by NTA, while state agencies compile their own state-specific Merit Lists. Merit List compilation proceeds in this manner. The state's Directorate of Medical Education (DME) publishes the state quota merit list for Tamil Nadu, whereas the Medical Council of India (MCI) publishes the All India Quota merit list.

Medical and dental institutes in the state of Tamil Nadu have more than 12,725 MBBS and 1000 BDS seats each. Those who live in the state must register online, and a merit list is compiled based on the scores of those who have already registered and who have met the NEET eligibility requirements. Counselling will be provided based on a merit list compiled by the state's NEET authority.

Candidate's rank, Candidate's name, Candidate category, Candidate NEET score, and Category rank are included in the TN merit list for state quotas. State merit lists rate applicants based solely on their test scores. There will be three different merit lists prepared by the Tamil Nadu admissions authority: one for seats under the state quota, one for management quota, and one for NRIs.

Tamil Nadu NEET Rank List 2021: Tie-Breaking Criteria

Every year, lakhs of students take the NEET test, with thousands of them from Tamil Nadu. When a large number of students take the test, the odds of two or more candidates receiving the same grade increase. If two or more applicants have the same score, they will not be placed in the same TN NEET MBBS Rank List. Officials use the rules listed below as a tiebreaker while determining the NEET Rank List for admission to MBBS/BDS programmes.

  • Rule 1: Applicants with higher Biology scores will receive a higher ranking.
  • Tie Rule 2: If candidates have the same bio score, their chemistry scores are compared, and the candidate with the better chemistry score is listed higher on the Merit list.
  • Tie Rule 3: If the tie still exists, the applicants with the fewest number of wrong NEET exam replies will be given priority in the ranking list.
  • Tie Rule 4: If all of the above conditions fail to break a tie, the applicant with the greater age shall be given a higher position in the NEET MBBS merit list.
