Tripura PG Medical Admission: 3 Year Service Bond & INR 50 Lakh Penalty Explained
Candidates seeking PG medical admissions in Tripura state have to serve the state for 3 years (applicable for PG Degree courses) or 2 years (applicable for PG Diploma courses). Failing to do so would result in a penalty of up to INR 50 Lakh subject to the programme type.
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tripura has started the Tripura NEET PG counselling process 2024. The authorities have released the information bulletin concerning the seat matrix, eligibility, counselling process, required fees as well as mandatory bond policy for the applicants.
The bond policy enclosed with the Tripura NEET PG brochure highlights that medicos willing to take PG medical admission in Tripura have to execute a bond of INR 35 Lakh for pre and paraclinical, INR 15 Lakh for PG Diploma, while INR 50 Lakh for clinical programme. They will be liable to pay the bond amount in case they fail to serve the state for 3 Years (for PG Degree courses) or 2 years (for PG Diploma courses).
Tripura NEET PG Counselling 2024: Penalty for Leaving Seats
Apart from this, students leaving Pre-clinical, PG Degree or PG Diploma seats are liable to pay seat leaving penalty of INR 25 Lakh, INR 35 Lakh and INR 10 Lakh respectively. The conditions are liable from the academic session 2020 onwards. The Government of Tripura's Health and Family Welfare Department issued a notification dated 13.12.2019 stating the mandatory bond policy for the students.

PG/ Diploma Discontinuation Bond
The discontinuation bond will be applied to all PG candidates. Each candidate will have to execute a bond stating that they will pay INR 25 Lakh in Pre-clinical & Para Clinical PG Degree Courses; INR 35 Lakh for Clinical PG Degree courses; while INR 10 Lakh shall be paid for all PG Diploma courses in case they discontinue their PG programme
