UPSC Hiring MBBS Professionals Through Direct Recruitment

There is a total of forty six vacancies for the post of Specialist Grade III (Anaesthesiology), Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Read here for more details.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification for opening of a total of forty six posts of Specialist Grade III (Anaesthesiology), Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Out of 46, 30 openings are for OBC categories, 4 is for Schedule Caste Category, 6 for Schedule Tribe, 1 for EWS, and five for UR categories.

Age criteria is 50 years for SCs/STs, 48 years for OBCs and 45 years for EWS/URs. 

Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications required are - 

• A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. 
• Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D.(Anaesthesiology)/ M.S.(Anaesthesiology)/ Diploma in Anaesthesiology (D.A.). 

Job Responsibilities

Candidates shall work in the hospitals of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and shall be primarily handling patients of various types in these hospitals for medical care. However, they can also be entrusted with other work including administrative and other related work as per exigencies of the public service.
