Uttar Pradesh sends proposal to establish All India Institute of Ayurveda

The state has sent a proposal to establish the All India Institute of Ayurveda and will start land identification once the proposal gets approved. After AIIA in Delhi, a new AIIA was set up in Goa which recently inducted the first batch of 100 BAMS students. AIIA is an apex institute of Ayurveda run by the government.

As per reports, Uttar Pradesh has planned to set up the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) which would be a centre of excellence for Ayurveda tertiary health care and promote education, research and patient care.

“A proposal for AIIA has been sent to the state government. Once approved, the process will start with identification of land to establish the AIIA,” said Dr PC Saxena, director, Ayurveda, as reported by Hindustan Times.

“We need around 15 acres of land to establish the AIIA. Once the state government approves the project and land is identified, the process of planning the infrastructure and facilities will begin,” said Dr Saxena.

AIIA Delhi conducts CME for Teachers of Samhita and Siddhanta

Currently, AIIA Delhi is conducting Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme for teachers of Samhita and Siddhanta. The CME started on February 27, 2023, and it will conclude tomorrow, March 4, 2023.

During the CME, Prof. Hitesh A. Vyas, Samhita & Siddhanta dept. ITRA Jamnagar shared his knowledge on Loka Purusha Samya: From theory to practise and Concept of Agni and Koshta: A clinical perspective. Dr Balveer kaur, Dravyaguna dept. presented her research on “Cognitive enhancing effect of Saraswata ghrita w.s.r to Alzheimer's disease - an in-vivo experimental study”

Dr Balwant Kumar,RSBK dept. presented his research on “ Revalidation of standard manufacturing procedure of Vyaghri haritaki avaleha and its efficacy in non-Covid and post covid bronchitis (An open label non-inferiority clinical trial)” during weekly interdepartmental seminar.
