Vigilance Bureau arrests Haryana Public Service Commission Dy Secy for manipulating marks

Haryana vigilance bureau arrested the deputy secretary of the Haryana Public Service Commission and two others for allegedly manipulating the marks of dental surgeon post candidates.

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has taken into custody a Deputy Secretary of the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) and two others involved in manipulating the marks of candidates. The examination was held in September this year in which candidates appeared for the written examination for recruitment of Dental Surgeons

As per a statement issued by Haryana Govt, following the registration of FIR on November 17, the raid was conducted and one Naveen Kumar resident of district Bhiwani was caught red-handed while accepting cash amounting to Rs 20 Lakhs.

He was produced before the Court on November 18 and has been remanded to police custody for 4 days.

Following the arrest, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar termed the arrest of a deputy secretary and two other officials of the HPSC as an achievement of the government in the direction to eliminate corruption

Based on his confession and other evidence obtained during the investigation, the SVB officials have further arrested Ashwani Sharma resident of district Jhajjar and seized cash amounting to Rs. 1 crore 7 lakh 97 thousand during his house search.

“Following further investigation, the SVB has arrested Anil Nagar, HCS, Dy Scy, HPSC. Search at the residence of one of his associates is going on resulting in the recovery of more cash. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the nexus and bring all culprits to book,” reads the statement state government.
