Yoga Mahotsav 2023 inauguration ceremony held today

The inauguration ceremony of Yoga Mahotsav 2023 was held today, March 13, 2023, to commemorate the 100-day countdown to International Day of Yoga 2023 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The event is being organised by the Ministry of Ayush along with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi. Read here for more details.

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi and the Ministry of Ayush organised the inauguration ceremony of Yoga Mahotsav 2023, which is being held between March 13 to March 14, 2023, at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, to commemorate 100 days countdown to International Day of Yoga 2023.

"Hon’ble Union Minister for Ayush Shri @sarbanandsonwal lighting the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate Yoga Mahotsav 2023- An Event to Commemorate 100 Days Countdown to International Day of Yoga 2023," reads the official tweet of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga. 

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, AYUSH puts forward the introductory remark at the inauguration ceremony of Yoga Mahotsav 2023.

"Along with this Post Mahotsav Yoga workshops will also be organised on March 15, 2023 at MDNIY, New Delhi," reads a tweet by the Ministry of Ayush. 

The programmes/activities include talks/discourse by yoga experts/masters, Vice Chancellors summit (experience sharing sessions, yoga fusion/demonstrations, quiz, elocution and poster presentation, post-Mahotsav yoga workshop for yoga instructors of AHWCs/Anganwadi workers, 'Y Break'sessions, and common yoga protocol (CYP).

Eminent dignitaries, including cabinet ministers from the Indian government, famous yoga gurus, eminent yoga masters, experts of Ayush, delegates, and yoga aficionados, will mark the entire event.
