Cancel Board Exams 2022: The Supreme Court of India is scheduled to hear the plea filed by a group of students seeking cancellation of CBSE board exams 2022 term 2. The plea will be heard by Justice Khanwilkar bench today, i.e. February 23, 2022. Ahead of the hearing, students across the nation have started trending #ModijiHelpBoardStudents2022 on Twitter requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and look into their demands. The Apex Court was approached by students earlier seeking intervention against the board exams scheduled to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), and other state boards. They also sought alternative assessment methods for upcoming board exams for classes 10 & 12 instead of holding physical exams as proposed by various State boards, CBSE & ICSE. Class10 and 12 students of over 15 states filed the plea seeking an alternative assessment method for the upcoming board exams demanding the cancellation of offline board exams 2022.

Various boards came up with alternative assessment criteria last year amid the ongoing pandemic situation to evaluate the students. Board results were released on the basis of internal exams and a formula devised by the board.

Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already released CBSE Class 10, 12 term 2 dates. According to the official schedule, the term 2 exams will be held from April 26. Meanwhile, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to conduct the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 exam in the last week of April.
