Bihar Diwas celebrations were organized on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Patna's Gandhi Maidan. The event was graced with the presence of the state chief minister Nitish Kumar. 

A shocking incident has emerged in Patna during Bihar Diwas celebrations. According to ANI, more than 150 school students have been hospitalised after having lunch during the Bihar Diwas celebrations in Patna. According to the details shared by the media agency, the students have been admitted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital after most of them complained of uneasiness.

The official tweet reads, “Several students hospitalised after having lunch during Bihar Diwas celebrations in Patna. More than 156 students have been registered here for treatment. Everyone is in a stable condition. Most of them complained of upset stomach & vomiting: Dr Vibha Singh, Civil Surgeon.

Another tweet from ANI informs, “Proper treatment is being given to them. We assume that there was some problem with the food. The District Magistrate has also formed a committee to investigate the matter: Dr Vibha Singh, Civil Surgeon”

 

Earlier, sources from the hospital stated that the conditions of many were critical. However, now, the students are in stable condition after the treatment.

Bihar Diwas celebrations were organized on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Patna's Gandhi Maidan. The event witnessed the presence of hundreds of people. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar graced the event as the chief guest. School students from across the state were invited to the event. Bihar Diwas was celebrated after three years due to the ongoing pandemic situation across the country.

Meanwhile, the District Magistrate of Patna have refused to comment on the matter.
