  NEET (UG) – 2022	50+50+50+50 Questions	Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology

• Select Question(s) for which you wish to challenge the Recorded Response.

• The number next to the Question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.

• Once you select any Question for Challenge, you will see three options under the column ‘Candidate’s Claim’.

• After clicking your desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2022, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.

• You will see a screen displaying your challenges.

• Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’.

• Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee for each question challenged.

• After successful payment, download/print the NEET 2022 OMR sheet challenge receipt.

• To challenge this option, candidates may use any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking the check box

• Supporting documents can be uploaded as a single PDF file by clicking on the ‘Choose File’ option

• After clicking the desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2022, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen

• Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’

• After successful payment, applicants will have to download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

Note: The above procedure is that of last year, it may be changed this year.

The last date to submit challenge against the answer keys is today, September 2, till 11.50 pm. Candidates who have decided to challenge one or more answer keys or responses from their OMR sheets must complete the procedure within the stipulated time. 

Despite appearing for the NEET 2022 exam on July 17, several candidates have not received their OMR sheet recorded responses and NEET answer keys 2022 after logging in. They have reported the incidents to NTA. This is caused either due to technical glitch or NTA missed uploading the documents for a few candidates. NTA is yet to clarify on this.

Any candidate who has attempted the question for which the NEET 2022 answer key is option 5, will get four marks for that question. Option 5 indicates that either the question or the answer options were wrong which would have confused candidates while solving the NEET 2022 question paper.

Candidates have come across one or more questions in the NEET 2022 answer key indicating the correct answer option as ‘5’. Since NEET 2022 questions are multiple-choice question (MCQ) type and carry four answer options only, the option ‘5’ refers to the Bonus question/answers. This means, that none of the answer options was correct and four marks will be awarded to all candidates attempting this.  For this reason, NTA has disabled the answer key challenge options for such questions so that candidates do not lose INR 200 on this. Candidates who have been trying to challenge this must note this and do not try again as it would be a futile exercise.

In case you find a particular question where the correct answer option is given as '5', that means that it is a bonus question. Or, none of the answer options were correct and you would get bonus 4 marks for that question irrespective of your attempt.

NTA has declared the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheet at neet.nta.nic.in. 

Candidates should keep the following information handy before downloading the NEET official answer key 2022 and NEET 2022 OMR sheets.

• NEET 2022 application number

• Registered email address

• Password of email address

NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets will be out within an hour. Students hope that there would be no further delay in this. 

NTA has announced that the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets will be released after 7 pm today. The official website states, "Uploading of data of 18 lakh candidates will take some more time. Hence, display of OMR Answer Sheet, Recorded Responses, and Provisional Answer Key will become available after 7 P.M. today.”

Despite mentioning the date and time in advance, NTA could not maintain it, not once, but twice. This has not only increased the anxiety levels of candidates but have also led to the credibility of the exam conducting authority. NTA does not just conduct NEET but other top entrance exams as well like JEE, CUET UG & PG, among others. Some of the students and stakeholders have urged to the Government of India to change the exam authorities for NEET given their lack of commitment and credibility.

Someone has even tagged the Union Minister of HRD to put the blame.

There are some students who never miss a chance to bring a little laugher on others' faces and lighten the situation!

 

Given the delay in releasing the NEET 2022 answer key keys, it is not difficult to assume that the NEET 2022 result will also be delayed from September 7, the date announced by NTA earlier, on August 26. 

As per the current scenario, it can be safely assumed that the NTA NEET 2022 answer key will be released after 5 pm. The OMR sheets or recorded responses of NEET 2022 will also be released simultaneously on the website neet.nta.nic.in and candidates' registered email addresses. 

Although we had estimated 4 pm to be the time by which NTA would release the NEET answer keys and OMR sheets 2022, the officials still have not acted on it. Candidates have also not received any email from the exam officials regarding this or their NEET 2022 OMR sheets.

Based on the tentative timeline, it is expected that NTA will release the NEET 2022 by 4 pm at the neet.nta.nic.in. 

Even as more than half the day has passed, there is no new update or information on the NEET 2022 website - neet.nta.nic.in. The indicative time of releasing the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets is still mentioned as 12.15 pm, which has passed 2.5 hours ago.

The NEET 2022 question paper had four sets which were further divided into six codes or sub-sets. The NEET 2022 question paper sets are given below:

• Q (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6)
• R (R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6)
• S (S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6) and
• T (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6)

Apart from the above sets, NEET answer keys for the 12 regional language question papers will also be released.

It is unlikely that NTA would postpone the date of releasing the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheets beyond today. However, the exam timing of the release is estimated to be late afternoon, as per the current scenario. 

As more than an hour has passed since the official schedule of releasing the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheet, it may be assumed that there would be a delay today as well. Candidates are advised to be prepared for a delay of around a couple of hours.

As 18 lakh candidates would try to access the official website of the exam, neet.nta.nic.in simultaneously to download their NEET 2022 OMR sheets and official answer keys, there is a high possibility of a server crash or a slow website experience. Candidates must be prepared for that and wait for some time before they are able to log in with their credentials. 

More than half an hour has passed from the scheduled time of the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet release, but there is still no trace of the answer key and recorded response sheets. The anxiety level among students is on a rise.

As soon the clock struck 12.15 pm, students started frantically searching for an update on the NTA NEET websites, nta.nic.in and neet.nta.nic.in. Upon finding no new information, they started releasing their angst on the social media platform Twitter. View some tweets below.

The NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet have not been announced on the NEET 2022 official website, neet.nta.nic. in yet. Although the timing stated by NTA was 12.15, no new update has been given yet.

As per the schedule, NTA will release the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets at neet.nta.nic.in by 12.15 pm. There are 15 minutes to go for the upload process to complete and students to download and check the further procedure.

NTA is expected to release the NEET 2022 provisional answer keys and OMR sheets anytime soon. As per NTA official, the target is to upload both documents for 18 lakh candidates by 12.15 pm.

The NEET 2022 marks will have to be calculated based on the marking scheme of the exam given below:

After NTA releases the provisional NEET 2022 answer keys, candidates need to focus on the following activities or events:

• Check the NEET 2022 OMR sheets and provisional answer keys
• Calculate the aggregate score based on the marking scheme
• Decide whether to file objections against the NEET OMR sheet or answer keys
• If a candidate decides to file an objection or challenge, he/she should send the email to NTA in the prescribed format within the given deadline and pay the requisite fee

Along with releasing the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets, NTA will also open the challenge submission window today itself. The last date to submit challenges or file for objections has not been announced yet.

NTA received a lot of brickbats yesterday on delaying the NEET 2022 answer and OMR sheet release. To give an explanation or clarification for the delay, the exam conducting authority has stated that uploading data of 18 lakh candidates will take time. Candidates are now hopeful since they know the exact timing to expect their NEET 2022 OMR response sheets and provisional answer keys.

As few minutes are left for the day to end, chances are bleak that NTA would release the NEET 2022 official answer keys and scanned response sheets (OMR sheets) on the scheduled date of August 30. It is expected that the NEET answer key 2022 will be released on August 31. 

At this hour, there are 30 minutes to go for the NEET 2022 official answer key release date to end. Students are still hopeful to receive the answer keys and OMR sheet within this date.

As per media reports, it has been stated that NEET 2022 answer keys are likely to be released in the next three hours. This indicates that the official NTA NEET answer keys 2022 will be delayed by a day and will be out in the early hours of August 31.

Given the massive delay, the possibility of NTA postponing the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet release cannot be undermined completely. Moreover, as NTA would conduct NEET 2022 retest for affected candidates at Kerala, Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh centres, there is a possibility that it would release the answer key for the original as well as retest after September 4. Candidates must note that this is just a speculation and no official confirmation is there on it yet. 

The NEET 2022 official website, neet.nta.nic.in is still hosting the links of advance city intimation and NEET admit card on its homepage. Despite multiple requests from students and the official schedule, the important and expected documents are still not received by candidates either on the website or on emails.

NTA is expected to release the NEET provisional answer keys anytime soon. Candidates are advised to check the official websites and their email addresses to stay updated.

While students are eagerly waiting for the NEET official provisional answer key 2022 and OMR sheets for over 12 hours now, it is evident that their patience is getting exhausted. While some students are not mincing any words to criticise NTA, some have taken the opportunity to turn Twitter into a memefest! Although the total number of questions in the NEET 2022 question paper was 200, candidates had to attempt 180 questions. To clarify, NTA had issued the following guidelines:

• Section A  consisted of 35 questions in each subject (Question Numbers – 001 to 035, 051 to 085, 101 to 135, and 151 to 185). All questions are compulsory.
• Section B consisted of 15 questions in each subject (Question Nos – 036 to 050, 086 to 100, 136 to 150, and 186 to 200). In Section B, a candidate needs to attempt any 10 questions out of 15 in each subject.
• Candidates were advised to read all 15 questions in Section B of each subject carefully before they start attempting the question paper. In the case of a candidate attempting more than 10 questions, the first 10 questions answered by the candidate will be evaluated. 

There is no limit on the number of NEET 2022 answer key objection filing. Candidates may submit as many challenges as they wish. They must follow the procedure as indicated by NTA and pay INR 200 for each question. 

According to a student who spoke to an NTA official, the NEET official answer key 2022 will be out by 9-10 pm today. The OMR sheets will also be sent to them through email. Sample the Tweet below. 

It is likely that NTA will release the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets anytime in the next five hours, unless the officials decide to postpone it further. 

No, NTA does not provide any opportunity or scope to challenge the final answer keys of NEET.

Although candidates can calculate their NEET 2022 scores through the answer keys, there is no assurance or guarantee that candidates will get the same marks on their scorecards. It is just an indication and not the official NEET result.

It is now expected that the NEET official answer keys and OMR sheets will be out by the late evening hours. This uncertainty is causing angst among candidates who are questioning NTA's credibility. 

With the setting sun, students' hopes to receive the NEET 2022 answer keys and OMR sheets are also reducing. It is past 6 pm and NTA has not notified anything yet. In fact, the latest notification section of the NTA website is still running yesterday's notice on CUET UG 2022.

As per the schedule for the NEET 2022 answer keys, the final keys will be released after seven days of releasing the provisional answer keys of NEET 2022. NTA has stated that the final answer keys and NEET 2022 result will be declared on September 7. 

NEET 2022 answer key challenge submission window is likely to be open for two to three days. It is likely that NTA will not extend the last date to submit challenges against the answer keys. However, in case there is a large number of student representation or requests, NTA may consider extending the last date to submit objections or challenges.  

NEET 2022 answer key challenge window will open along with releasing the provisional keys and OMR sheets. The window will be open for two to three days. Hence, one must decide whether to file objections or not. Some of the factors one must check before deciding are as follows:

• NEET 2022 answer keys by coaching institute experts
• Accuracy of candidates' attempts
• Accuracy of provisional NEET 2022 answer keys
• In case none of the answer key options are correct

Since there has been no official update on the NEET 2022 answer key or OMR release timing, students have taken to Twitter to speculate the actual time of the answer key release. Some are even assuming that NTA would postpone the NEET answer key and OMR sheet tomorrow. 

Shiksha.com tried to reach out to NTA to seek an update on the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet status. However, there was an automated response, "All our executives are busy. Please try again later or email us your query."

In case the NEET 2022 answer key objections are found to be correct, candidates would be awarded full marks for that question. In case a question is found to be wrong and none of the answer options is correct, then all test-takers, irrespective of whether they had attempted that question or not, will be awarded four marks. However, candidates will not be informed about the status of the answer key objections, either individually or publicly.

The Provisional NEET answer keys may be challenged by candidates by paying a fee of INR 200. This refers that these answer keys may be wrong and would be reviewed and verified by an expert panel set up by NTA. On the other hand, the NEET final answer keys are absolute and cannot be changed further. The NEET result will be based on the final answer keys only.

NEET 2022 answer keys were released unofficially by experts from top coaching institutes on the day of the exam itself, which was July 17. However, these answer keys are unofficial and should not be treated as official ones. These keys are meant for reference purpose only.

Candidates have not released their NEET 2022 OMR sheets yet on their email addresses. It is expected to reach their inbox anytime soon.

Candidates will not be given a chance to re-evaluate or recheck the final NEET 2022 answer keys or exam papers. NTA has stated the following reasons for this:

i. The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.

ii. The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.

Although earlier it was expected that the NEET 2022 answer keys will be out by 3 pm, but there has been no information on the official website yet. Now, it is expected that the NEET answer key and OMR sheets will be out by evening hours

NTA has announced a retest for NEET 2022 on September 4 for candidates affected by either mishandling during the frisking process or receiving the question paper in a different language. NTA has stated in an official circular that based on the factual report by the concerned examination functionaries, six separate incidents were identified where affected candidates should get another chance to appear for NEET 2022.

Once the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheets are released, candidates would be busy in calculating their scores. Prior to that, one must match the NEET 2022 question paper set from his/her OMR sheets with that of the answer key before starting the score calculation process. A mismatch in the NEET question paper and answer key set would yield a flawed result.

As estimated earlier, the timing of NTA releasing the NEET 2022 answer key would be 3 pm, but so far NTA has neither released the NEET official answer keys online nor have the OMR sheets been sent to email. Students have to expect a further delay to view these crucial documents regarding NEET 2022. 

NEET 2022 was conducted in the largest number of test centres, 3,570, across the world as compared to the past few years. The number of test cities stood at 497 in India and 14 cities abroad. "The examination was also conducted for the first time in Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore along with
Dubai and Kuwait City," mentioned NTA.

As the clock is approaching 3 pm, students are getting increasingly impatient with this wait. Most of them are taking a sarcastic dig and some are planning to contact NTA to get the information from officials. 

Some students feel that the wait is tiresome and want NTA to act fast and release the NEET official answer key 2022 and OMR sheets.

 

Although the NTA official website has not given any update on the NEET 2022 answer key or OMR sheet on official websites, some of the students may have received the NEET OMR sheets 2022 through email. However, there is no confirmation received yet. 

NEET 2022 answer key will enable candidates to calculate their scores only, not percentile. Only NTA experts who would be computing the NEET 2022 result, scheduled to be declared on September 7, will be calculating the percentile of NEET 2022. 

NEET percentile will be computed by NTA based on the following formula:

NEET Percentile = 100 x Number of candidates with their raw score equal to/ less than the candidate

                                                       Total number of candidates who appeared for NEET

In general, a score in the range of 600-720 would be considered very good. A NEET score of 400 is also considered to be decent. A NEET score of 300 or less will not be considered to be a good score.

Out of the 200 questions in NEET 2022 question paper, candidates had to attempt 180. Extra attempts would not fetch extra marks even if those are correct. Hence, candidates must keep in mind this factor while calculating their scores from the NEET official answer key 2022.

NEET 2022 total marks is 720. Each subject carries 45 questions with four marks per question, making the subject/section-wise marks to be 180. The section-wise distribution of questions and marks are given in the table below.

Students are eagerly waiting for the NEET 2022 official answer keys by NTA and have taken to Twitter to express their reactions. Some have directly questioned NTA regarding the exact timing of the release, some have requested the exam authorities to not delay it further.
