NEET 2022 Application Correction Window Reopened to Change Category

NEET 2022 Application Correction Window Reopened Till June 16

NEET 2022 application correction facility has been reopened by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 14. Applicants can make changes in the candidate category section in the application form. The facility is available for three days, from June 14 to June 16, 9 pm. In the official notification, NTA has stated, “It has been decided to provide another opportunity to the candidates to correct/change their Category themselves in their respective Online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2022.”

The notice also adds, “The candidates, who had not been able to mention their actual Category correctly while filling up the Online Application Form, by mistake or due to non-availability of Category Certificate, may avail the opportunity as mentioned above, to mention their actual Category themselves in their respective Online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2022 and also upload the scanned copy of the Certificate.”

Candidates who have not been able to obtain the Category Certificate from the Competent Authority will have to download the Self Declaration Form from the NEET 2022 official website, from Annexure I of the notice.

How to Make Corrections in Candidate Category

Candidates will have to follow the steps below to change the candidate category:

• Visit the official website of NEET 2022 or directly enter https://examinationservices.nic.in/neet2022/root/Home.aspx?enc=Ei4cajBkK1gZSfgr53ImFcFR+natXIEjJ1rCf6DMgOox7bbAmAPAy8nRVOhBfLwd

• Click on the tab ‘Correction in Category for NEET (UG) 2022’ at top of the page

• Log in through the NEET 2022 application number and password

• Make changes in the category

• Pay the additional fee if it changes owing to the impact of changing the candidate category

The additional fee has to be paid online through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI and Paytm. Unless the additional fee is paid, the change in the category would not be accepted.

Candidates must note that only the category section is eligible for change and no other field will be editable. NTA has also emphasised that this is the last chance to make corrections in the NEET 2022 application form, hence they should fully utilise this opportunity.

Originally, the application correction facility for NEET 2022 was open from May 24 to May 27. The application process had concluded on May 20, after being extended twice. Over 18 lakh candidates have registered for the exam.
