NEET 2022 Application: Know Which Qualifying Code to Select

NEET 2022 is all set to be conducted on July 17, 2022 (Sunday). The registration for the medical entrance examination is being conducted on the National Testing Agency's (NTA) official website. As per the registration process, the aspirants must select a qualifying exam code in the application form. 

The qualification code is the qualifying exam that the aspirant has passed. The qualification code entered by the aspirants cannot be changed after the final submission of the application form.

NEET 2022 Qualification Codes

Here are the following qualification codes from which an aspirant can choose:

  • Exam Code 1: Those who are sitting for the Class 12 exam or waiting for the results can select this code but they must provide all relevant documents during the NEET counselling process.
  • Exam Code 2: Those who completed 12 years of schooling under Higher/Secondary examinations or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or any other elective as one of the major subjects.
  • Exam Code 3: Candidates who are Class 12th graduates with physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology as a compulsory subjects in the intermediate/pre-degree examination along with English as compulsory subjects.
  • Exam Code 4: Candidates who have completed the pre-professional or pre-medical examination with Chemistry, Biology and English after completing Class 12.
  • Exam Code 5: Those who have completed the first year of a bachelor's degree from a recognised institute including practical tests in Biology/Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Exam Code 6: The candidates who have passed the BSc examination with two or more subjects - biology/biotechnology, physics and chemistry.
  • Exam Code 7: Those who have passed exams equivalent to Class 12 from a university or school and have completed two years of study in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry and English.

For the first time, NEET 2022 is being conducted in 14 cities outside India apart from 543 cities in India. It will be conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
