i. The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.

Candidates have to pay the NEET 2022 answer key challenge fee in online mode only. No other modes of payment (offline, such as cash, cheque or Demand Draft) will be applicable. NEET 2022 Admit Card Released
The NEET 2022 admit card has been released on July 12, after 11.30 AM. Initially, there was a number of technical and server glitches which delayed the process. However, once the system stabilised, students could download the hall ticket smoothly. They have to click on any of the three links provided on the NTA NEET website and enter their application number, date of birth and security pin. They have to fill up a form regarding their recent health and travel updates, after which they would be redirected to the NEET 2022 admit card PDF, which they must download and take several printouts. In case of any difficulty in downloading or to report wrong information or misprint, candidates will have to contact NTA through phone or email.

NEET 2022 admit card will be released on July 12, at 11.30 AM. NTA has announced the schedule in an official notification on July 11. After protesting and demanding exam deferment for days, the candidates started their hunger strike on July 5 to intensify the protest. The aspirants now want to meet PM Modi claiming that no one else is hearing their issues. All India Students Dental Association/DENTODONTICS tweeted, "Hunger Strike is going on for #NEETUG2022 issue regarding there postponement of 40 days & seeking permission from PM". A student has tweeted, "Listen to the genuine concerns of neet aspirants @narendramodi ji @dpradhanbjp ji and @DG_NTA. Extend neet ug by 40 days we should get proper time for preparation."

NEET 2022 aspirants to go on hunger strike from July 5
Some of the NEET aspirants have decided to go on a hunger strike from July 5, 10 am onwards. They have taken this decision as a mark of protest against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's statement against NEET 2022 postponement. The Minister had stated, “Students are always anxious. All our senior principals are here, educationists are here, they face this problem every month." Students have responded with the Tweet, "#NEETUGChaloMODIJIAwas sir meet us or we are coming to meet you regarding our problem about neet ug 2022. and will do hunger strike on 5th of july 2022 @PMOIndia @narendramodi".

NEET 2022 Advance Intimation on Exam City Released
NTA has announced the NEET 2022 advance city allotment information for the candidates on June 28. Candidates have to log in with their NEET 2022 application number and date of birth to check the city in which their NEET 2022 exam centre has been allotted. However, this is not an admit card. Clarifying this, NTA has stated, “This is NOT the admit card for NEET (UG) – 2022. This is an advance information for allotment of Centre City, to facilitate the candidate. The Admit Card shall be issued later.”

NTA Confirms NEET 2022 Date to Remain Unchanged in RTI Response
Responding to an RTI request of a candidate, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has clearly stated that the NEET 2022 exam will be conducted on July 17, as per the stipulated date and time. The RTI response says, "The NEET (UG) 2022 examination stands (as on date) to be conducted on 17 July 2022, keeping in view of the academic interest of millions of students who have filled up application form for this exam." The response has been given by Binod Kumar Sahu, Joint Director, NTA. This has confirmed the fact that NTA will not postpone the exam despite the huge demands from candidates.

Clashing of CUET 2022 Dates with NEET 2022 Intensifies Student Protests
As the dates of CUET 2022 have been announced, starting from July 15, candidates taking both CUET and NEET have intensified the demand to postpone the latter. A new campaign has been launched on June 23 at 4 pm. Students are also posting on Twitter with the demand to defer the exam by four to six weeks. The hashtag #DharmendraPradhanHelpUs is trending on Twitter. Moreover, to raise students' demands for a month's delay in NEET UG exams, Lok Sabha Member Gopal Shetty will meet Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the matter.

Government Confirms NTA Notice Circulated on June 20 as Fake
The NTA notice claiming NEET 2022 to be postponed to September 4 has been quashed by the Government. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has confirmed that the NTA notice dated June 19 is fake. PIB's Twitter handle PIB Fact Check has clarified it through a Tweet on June 21. The Tweet said, "A notice is doing rounds on social media claiming that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the NEET (UG) for 4th September 2022 instead of 17th July 2022. This notice is #fake. @DG_NTA has not issued any such notice."

As the demand to postpone NEET 2022 intensifies, #JusticeforNEETUG trends on social media platforms. Some of the parents of NEET 2022 aspirants have formed a a national-level parents' association and written a fresh letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. An excerpt of the letter says, "The academic session for this batch will not start until February 2023 as per the recent notification. Then why students are being forced to appear for the exam when there will be no impact on their academic session. Several other entrance exams are also scheduled during this time so it will be very difficult for students to commute as they will be travelling to other cities to appear for these exams."

NEET 2022 Application Correction Window Reopened
NEET 2022 application correction facility has been reopened by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 14. Applicants can make change in the candidate category section in the application form. The facility is available for three days, from June 14 to June 16, 9 pm. In the official notification, NTA has stated, “It has been decided to provide another opportunity to the candidates to correct/change their Category themselves in their respective Online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2022.” In case candidates are unable to get the Category Certificate from the competent authority, they have to upload the Self Declaration Form, which can be obtained from the NEET 2022 official website. In case the category change incurs additional fee, candidates need to pay that to ensure that the category change is accepted by NTA.

The NEET admit card will be issued in online mode only and candidates will have to log in with their application number and password to download the admit card. The admit card of NEET will carry information such as exam date and time, exam centre address, exam day guidelines along with the candidates' personal details. On the day of the exam, candidates must carry the NEET 2022 admit card or hall ticket after pasting their photograph and getting their parents/guardians' signature on the same.

NEET 2022 Receives Above 18 lakh Registrations
The NEET 2022 application data states that over 18 lakh candidates have applied for the exam. Last year, the total number of applications received for this exam was 16.14 lakh. There is above 12 per cent increase in the number of applications in NEET UG 2022 registrations. As per reports, the number of candidates opting for regional languages has also increased substantially.

NEET 2022 Application Correction Window Opened on May 24
NEET 2022 application correction window has been opened on May 24 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The last date to edit or make corrections in the NEET 2022 application form is May 27, 9 pm. In an official notification released on May 24, NTA has stated, “In view of the numerous representations received from the candidates regarding allowing them to edit/modify their particulars in the Online Application Form of NEET (UG) – 2022, National Testing Agency has decided to provide an opportunity to the candidates for modifying their particulars in the Online Application Form of NEET (UG) – 2022.”

NEET 2022 Application Correction Window to Open Soon
The NEET 2022 application correction window is expected to open soon. It is expected that the NEET application correction window will open in the last week of May. Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form and paid the application fee will be eligible to make corrections or changes to the NEET application form 2022. There will be no fees levied for making changes in the application form. Some fields will not be editable, which are nationality, mobile number and email address.

NEET 2022 Application Process Concluded on May 20
NTA has concluded the NEET 2022 application process on May 20, as per the schedule. The application submission window ended at 9 pm and the application fee could be paid till 11.50 pm. It is estimated that over 16 lakh candidates have applied for the exam. NTA is yet to release the number of applicants for the exam. This year, the total number of applicants is expected to be higher as compared to previous years since the upper age limit criterion has been removed from the NEET eligibility criteria. The NEET 2022 application correction window is also expected to open soon.

NEET 2022 Application Process Extended till May 20
NTA has further extended the NEET 2022 application deadline till May 20, 9 pm. The application fee can be paid till 11.50 pm on the same day. NTA's official notification reads, "In continuation of the Public Notices dated: 01 May 2022 and 05 May 2022, and in view of the request received from the Office of Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, it has been decided to further extend the last date for submission of Application Forms of NEET (UG) - 2022."

AFMS Institutes to Accept NEET 2022 Scores for BSc Nursing Courses
It has been decided by the Director-General, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) that the scores of NEET (UG) will be used for the selection of female candidates only for admission to the BSc (Nursing) Course 2022 at six Nursing colleges of the AFMS.

NEET 2022 Application Deadline Extended till May 15
NEET 2022 application date has been extended from May 6 to May 15, 9 pm. The application fee has to be paid by the same date, by 11.50 pm. Originally, the last date to apply and pay the application fee for NEET 2022 were May 6 and May 7 respectively. NTA has extended the application deadline in order to let Nursing aspirants for AFMS colleges to submit their applications, since these colleges would accept NEET scores this year onwards.

Upper Age Limit Removal Will Lead to Higher Competition
This year, the NEET 2022 eligibility criteria has undergone change in terms of the upper age limit. The upper age limit has been scrapped for all the candidate categories. However, the lower age limit remains 17 years. Hence, candidates applying for NEET 2022 should be at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2022. The lower age limit is the same for candidates across categories.

NEET 2022 to be Conducted in a Single Day and Single Slot Window
The Ministry of Education and NTA had been mulling over the idea of conducting NEET twice a year. However, the notification has clarified that the exam will be conducted only once. The timing of the exam is 2 pm to 5.20 pm. Hence, candidates must ensure a better and stronger preparation strategy to ensure a high score, as they have only one chance in a year to crack the exam and grab a coveted seat.

NEET 2022 Exam Centres Increased Substantially
NEET 2022 exam centres will be located in 543 cities across India and 14 cities abroad. As compared to last year, there has been a substantial increase. Till 2020, NEET exam centres were located only in India. Last year, the exam was conducted in two international cities – Dubai and Kuwait. This year, the international exam cities for NEET will be located across South East Asia, UAE and Africa.

NEET 2022 Duration Increased
The duration of NEET 2022 has been increased by 20 minutes, hence the total duration of the exam is now 200 minutes instead of 180 minutes. The exam will be conducted from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. However, there will not be any break in between and candidates will have to attempt the NEET 2022 question paper at one go and submit the test booklet/OMR sheet to the individual before leaving the exam hall.

NEET 2022 Registration in Single Phase
Unlike last year, the NEET 2022 registration process was conducted in a single phase. All the details, including the parents'/guardian's occupation and annual family income, had to be entered within the NEET application form 2022 which has been released on April 6. Last year, candidates had to enter this information in the second phase of registration, which was conducted after the exam and before the declaration of the result. Candidates must be careful about entering the details and crosscheck each information before final submission and the payment of the application fee.
