NEET 2022: MP High Court asks NTA original record of girl who received zero marks
Madhya Pradesh High Court has asked National Testing Agency for the original record of the NEET 2022 candidate who scored zero in the entrance exam.
In yet another allegation of irregularities in the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) answer sheet of NEET 2022, Madhya Pradesh High Court has asked National Testing Agency (NTA) for the original record of a girl candidate who received zero in NEET 2022.
Justice Subodh Abhyankar of the Indore bench issued the directive on a petition filed by Lipakshi Patidar (19), a resident of Agar-Malwa district. The Union government’s lawyer sought a week’s time to produce the original record which the court granted, as reported by Siasat.com.
Petitioner’s lawyer Dharmendra Chelawat said that Patidar had answered 161 out of 200 objective questions when the NEET was held on July 17, and she was confident of doing well. However, when NEET 2022 results were declared on September 7, she was shocked to find that she scored zero marks, said the petitioner's lawyer.
The Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) answer sheet sent to her by e-mail was blank, the lawyer said. Patidar had secured more than 80% marks in class 10 and 12 examinations and she suspected that her NEET 2022 OMR sheet was tampered with, the lawyer contended. The next hearing of the case is on September 30.
