NEET 2022 Postponed? Fake NTA Notification Circulated in Social Media
A fake NTA notice claiming to postpone NEET 2022 is doing the rounds of social media. However, there has been no such information available on the official NTA and NEET 2022 websites.
A fake NTA notice stating NEET 2022 postponed to September 4 has been doing the rounds in social media. Amid massive student protests, this notification is raising false hopes as well as confusion among candidates. There is no such information or notice on the official websites of NTA NEET 2022, which are nta.ac.in and neet.nta.ac.in. Students are advised to crosscheck each information or notice that they come across on any unofficial platforms or mediums with that of the official.
The fake NTA notice, signed by Sadhna Parashar, Senior Director, Exams, states, “The revised date for the conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [NEET (UG)]-2022 is 4th September, 2022, Sunday.” The reason behind the NEET 2022 postponement is mentioned as numerous representations received from the candidates. NEET 2022 is officially scheduled to be held on July 17 in 557 cities across India. The application process has concluded on May 20. The application correction facility was provided from May 24 to May 27 and the window was reopened from June 14 to June 16 to modify changes in the candidate category. The NEET 2022 admit card is expected to be released in the first week of July.

Students' Demand to Postpone NEET 2022 Continues
Meanwhile, the student demands to postpone the NEET 2022 is continuing in full fervour as candidates have written a fresh letter to the Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan to postpone the NEET 2022 exam by at least a month. However, an official response is yet to be released.
On the other hand, NTA was quoted by a Times of India report that a large number of student representations have been received with the demand to postpone the exam, however, so far no change has been made in the schedule.
