NEET PG 2022 aspirants move to Supreme Court to demand exam postponement

While the reports have emerged that the NEET PG 2022 might not get postponed and will be conducted on the scheduled date, the All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) has filed a plea in the top court of India to postpone the exam.

Advocate Sandeep S Tiwari's tweet reads, "On behalf of All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) we have moved Supreme Court of India against scheduled examination of NEET -PG 2022 dated 21st May, 2022. . The aspirants raised own grievances due to mismatch / clashing of dates in ongoing counselling for NEET-PG 2021."

Insufficient gap between NEET PG 2022 and NEET PG 2021 counselling

One of the main reasons the NEET PG 2022 aspirants are citing in support of their demand to postpone the examination by at least 6 to 8 weeks is that there is not much gap between the NEET PG 2022 exam date and NEET PG 2021 counselling.

Another main reason is that if the exam will be conducted on May 21, nearly 5,000 medical interns who served the patients during COVID 19 pandemic will not be eligible to appear in the examination as their internships got delayed due to Covid-19 duties.

NEET PG 2022 aspirants have already written to President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the health minister to postpone the exam.
