NTA has announced that the NEET UG 2022 counselling process is expected to the announced soon by NMC and other State Counselling authorities soon. Refer to the notice below.

Out of 720, the toppers have scored 715. As many as four candidates have secured this score. Based on the tie-breaking method, the ranks have been assigned to candidates.

The highest score in NEET 2022 is 715 which has been obtained by four candidates. Let us take a look at the list of toppers along with the scores, ranks, percentiles and states in the below table.

As per the latest communication by NTA officials, NEET 2022 result will be declared today by 11 PM. However, the information is yet to be projected on official websites such as neet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in. 

As it is already 10 PM and NTA is yet to make an announcement, the questions on NEET 2022 result declaration status have started increasing. Students are now beyond any explanation and want a simple update on the exact timing. Shiksha.com, on behalf of 18 lakh NEET 2022 takers requests NTA to throw some light on the matter at the earliest to ease the tension.

Tamil Nadu government added 17 new medical colleges that will add 2,350 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) seats to the total number of seats in the state. TN has 69 medical colleges offering a total of 10,375 MBBS seats. As per the NMC website, it is the highest in the country.

The government medical colleges (GMCs) added 8,854 more MBBS seats in the last five years than the private medical colleges. The total MBBS seats added by GMCs are 16,729 and by private medical colleges are 7,875.

It is now expected that the NEET result 2022 will be released within the next one hour, by 10 pm. 

As per a recent notice by NMC, the medical education authority has stated that the NEET UG 2022 counselling process is likely to begin in September or October. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the important dates for registration, seat allotment, institute reporting, etc. after the declaration of the NEET 2022 result. 

The impatience of NEET 2022 students are soaring while NTA is still silent even when more than half of the day is over. The exam authorities must understand the student sentiments and at least release the timing of releasing the NEET UG result 2022 so that they can be at peace and not wait aimlessly.

An URL at the official website ntaresults.nic.in has been activated but candidates are unable to log in despite entering the correct credentials and security pins. It looks like the result URL has been leaked prior to the actual release of the NEET 2022 result and hence the login process has been disabled. Take a look at the page below.

It is already 8 pm but despite multiple speculations and predictions, NTA has not released any update on the NEET result 2022 or the final answer keys of the exam yet. The latest updates on the NTA website currently being displayed are more than a day old.

Some of the NEET 2022 aspirants are reaching out to Shiksha.com to know the exact timing of the NEET UG result 2022. After waiting for more than 12 hours, they are visibly and justifiably impatient.

As it is about to be 8 pm soon, the anticipation to receive the scorecards are soaring to a new level now! However, it is expected that the NEET 2022 final answer keys will be released before the results.

According to the National Medical Council (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI), there are 612 medical and 317 dental colleges in India.

There are several posts of students going round claiming that NEET 2022 result has been declared along with their scores. Although it is evident that these are invalid information, still some anxious students keep clicking on the links provided on the posts or send direct messages to the person's personal social media account which may turn out to be malicious. NTA has not responded to this query yet. No, NTA does not allow candidates to apply for re-evaluation or rechecking of the NEET 2022 scorecards or results. The marks are computed based on the final answer keys of NEET, which are also not permissible for another round of objection or challenges.

No, NTA will not release sectional cutoffs. Only overall NEET 2022 qualifying or passing marks for each candidate category will be provided on the scorecard.

Do not click on unreliable links or URLs without verifying the official sites.

As per the current scenario, some media houses have reported that the NEET 2022 final answer key will be released by 6 pm, followed by the release of the NEET UG result 2022 in another couple of hours, which will be around 8 pm.

 The total marks of NEET is 720 and students often wonder, what is a good score in NEET? It would depend on various factors such as your performance, vis-a-is your preparation tenure. For a repeat candidate, a score of 600+ may not be good enough provided the time and effort he had put. Once the NEET 2022 final answer key is released, candidates will come to know whether their submitted challenges have been validated by NTA or not. Moreover, you may also check the answer options of questions which showed 5 as the correct answer option. For such questions, candidates will get a bonus of four marks. However, there is a caveat. In case all the answer options were wrong or the question itself was framed wrongly, every candidate would get full marks. On the other hand, if multiple answer options were found correct, then only those candidates who attempted the question will get marks.

As per some media reports, the NEET 2022 final answer key is expected to be released by 6 pm today.

As the clock has already struck 3 pm and there is no information regarding the NEET 2022 result or scorecard yet, it seems that there would be a further delay in declaring the scorecard and result.

As per the expected and predicted timing given by experts, the NEET 2022 result is likely to be declared between next half an hour to one hour.

As the students are waiting for the NEET result 2022 with bated breath, the official website of NTA, nta.ac.in, has stopped working.

This might be an indication that NTA is preparing the website for releasing the NEET 2022 scorecards.

Students are eagerly waiting for the NEET 2022 result, which is scheduled to be released anytime during the day today. Previously it was predicted that the NEET result 2022 will be out by 12 noon, looking at the present scenario, it can be estimated that it would be out by 3 pm.

The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has recently issued a notification related to admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental colleges in the state of Punjab for the session 2022 onwards. The notification said that after the NEET 2022 results are declared, the Punjab NEET 2022 candidates would be able to apply on the specific proforma for all seats at BFUHS except All India Quota seats, for which counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The NEET 2022 result will be valid for one year or the current academic season of 2022-23. For aspirants who wish to apply for MBBS courses outside India, the NEET result 2022 will be valid for three years. 

NTA has revised the NEET 2022 tie-breaking criteria. Know last year's criteria here, which consisted of only three factors:

a. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by,

b. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,

c. Candidate with less proportion of number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test.

The following parameters are considered in the case of a tie in scores: 

a. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by,

b. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the test, followed by,

c. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Physics in the test, followed by,

d. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,

e. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by

f. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the test, followed by

g. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the test, followed by

h. Candidate older in age, followed by

i. Application number in ascending order

NTA has fixed the NEET cutoff percentile for each candidate category, which is 50 percentile for General/UR, 45 percentile for PwD (General/UR) and 40 percentile for OBC, SC, ST and PwD (SC/ST/OBC) categories. However, there may be an exception to this as well. NTA has stated, "Provided when a sufficient number of candidates in the respective categories fail to
secure minimum marks as prescribed, the Central Government in consultation with the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India, Central Council of Indian Medicine and Central Council of Homeopathy may at its discretion lower the minimum marks required for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses for the said academic year only."

The NEET 2022 merit list can be divided into the following categories:

Overall merit list: This merit list includes the names and ranks of all the candidates who appeared for NEET 2022. This is the first merit list and is prepared by NTA. This merit list will be forwarded to all counselling bodies, both national and state.

15 per cent AIQ merit list: This merit list will contain the names of only those candidates who would qualify for the NEET 2022 result. This merit list is prepared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

State quota merit list: Every state will prepare their individual merit lists for admissions to 85 per cent of state quota seats. These merit lists will include only those candidates who will qualify for NEET result 2022 and register for the counselling of that respective state.

Although NTA has not stated a specific time for releasing the NEET 2022 result, it is estimated that the scorecards will be released by 12 noon, or afternoon today. Like last year, it is estimated that the sending of NEET scorecards would start by the afternoon. The result link may be activated by evening.

The primary difference between NEET scorecard and merit list is that the former is an individual document whereas the latter is a common document. The NEET 2022 scorecard will carry information pertaining to the candidate's score, rank, percentile and other personal details such as name, photograph and signature, the merit list will carry the AIR, scores and percentiles of all candidates who had appeared for the exam. 

NEET merit list refers to the compilation of candidates' names in the order of their All India Ranks along with their scores obtained out of 720 and percentile. NTA releases the All India as well as state-wise merit lists for NEET. 

Regarding the computation of the NEET 2022 result, NTA states, "The National Testing Agency will evaluate the Answer Sheets using standard procedure and the result will be displayed on the website - neet.nta.nic.in and thereafter candidates may download their respective Score Cards."

Till last year, NTA did not send SMS to candidates after the release of the NEET result. In general, NTA sends emails on the candidates' registered email addresses. However, the possibility cannot be completely ruled out as well. 

The exact number of qualified candidates will be announced by NTA through a press release issued by the exam authorities. Last year, as many as 8,70,075 candidates qualified for NEET out of 15,44,275 actual test-takers.

The full marks of NEET 2022 is 720 and it is indeed possible to get full marks in NEET. Last year, as many as three candidates obtained 720 marks in NEET and in the previous year, two candidates got 720. 

Candidates will not be given a chance to re-evaluate or recheck the final NEET 2022 answer keys or exam papers. NTA has stated the following reasons for this:

i. The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.

ii. The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.

NTA will also release the NEET 2022 final answer keys soon after releasing the NEET UG 2022 result. Candidates will have to compare the provisional and final answer keys to check whether there has been any change, or if their submitted challenges have been validated by NTA or not.

According to experts, even though the NEET 2022 difficulty level was similar to last year, owing to the higher number of test takers, and the increase in the number of MBBS and BDS seats, the NEET cutoff marks for 2022 is likely to go up. Hence, students must gear up for tougher competition.

NEET cutoff marks will be determined on the following factors:

• Total number of candidates who appear for the examination

• Difficulty level of the examination

• Performance of the candidates

• Number of seats available

• NEET cut off for previous years

NTA has confirmed that the NEET 2022 result will be declared today itself and there would be no further delay. However, since the exam hour of declaring the result has not been announced, it is creating uncertainties among candidates.

NTA conducted a NEET 2022 retest for candidates who were a victim of an inappropriate frisking at the NEET exam centre in Kerala or received their NEET 2022 question paper in a language other than the one opted by them, on September 4. Such candidates will also receive their NEET result 2022 today itself.

Test-takers must keep an eye on the official website of the exam neet.nta.nic.in for the latest updates regarding NEET result 2022. This website would host information of the NEET UG result 2022 prior to the other two official websites of NTA.

NEET 2022 received the highest number of applications in the past years, 18.72 lakh. Out of this, 95 per cent appeared for the exam on July 17, making the number of test takers to be around 18 lakh.

NTA is expected to release the NEET 2022 merit list after the declaration of individual NEET scorecards, in the form of a press release. The merit list will include the names of the NEET 2022 toppers along with their scores, percentiles and All India Ranks (AIR).

The NEET 2022 provisional answer keys were released on August 30 and challenges against those could be published till September 2, 11.50 pm by paying a fee of INR 200 per question.

The NEET UG result 2022 will be calculated based on the final answer keys of the exam that have been prepared by the NTA panel which consisted of subject experts who verified all the NEET 2022 answer key challenges.

The NEET 2022 final answer keys will also be released by NTA today or soon after releasing the NEET UG result 2022 on the official websites, neet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in.
