NEET-UG 2022 aspirants demand exam postponement by one month
Students are claiming CUET and JEE Main are also scheduled in July, thus giving less time to prepare
Following the change in the JEE Main exam date, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) aspirants are also demanding it be rescheduled. The students are pleading for more time as they feel they have not got enough time to prepare for the NEET UG exam.
The NEET-UG exam is scheduled to be held on July 17. The aspirants are demanding a postponement of the exam by one month.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main as it was clashing with several state boards examinations, on the other hand, due to a change in JEE Main schedule, the gap between other important entrance tests conducted by NEET has shortened.
The NEET is scheduled to be held on July 17, while JEE Main will commence on July 21. Another exam, for admission to central universities, Common University Admission Test (CUET) is likely to be held in the first or second week of July.
According to NEET aspirants, students do not have enough time to prepare for NEET-UG 2022. “Two months is not enough time for Preparation,” claim students in an online petition.
They are also claiming that the CUET exams are scheduled in the first or second week of July, and there are many students who will appear for JEE Mains also which is scheduled just after three days of NEET-UG. How will they prepare for all the exams together? students are questioning.
As per, the All India Student's Union (AISU) the mop-up round of states came just 2-3 days ago and students have less time for preparation for NEET UG due to counselling having gone very late. “Counselling has been completed just a few days back how the droppers would prepare in just three months,” students are questioning.
Many of the NEET-UG 2022 aspirants have raised the issue that they do not have enough time to prepare for the exam. According to them, two months is not enough time for preparation for JEE Mains 2022, because of which it has been postponed despite candidates having more time to prepare and they have more Attempts. “However conducting NEET with one attempt and after the late announcement, is not fair to NEET UG aspirants,” students claim.
