NEET 2021 Counselling Mop-up Round Choice Locking Process Today

The NEET 2021 counselling choice locking process for the Mop-up round has commenced today, on March 14. The deadline to submit the locked choices is 11.55 pm today. Candidates who have already registered will be eligible to lock and submit their choice of colleges and seats. The choice-filling process, which had started on March 11 is also ending today at 11.55 pm. The registration process for NEET 2021 counselling Mop-up round had commenced on March 10 and ended on March 14 at 12 noon. The application fee could be paid by 3 pm today.

Step by Step Process for NEET 2021 Counselling Choice Locking

Eligible candidates for the choice-locking process will have to follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in

  • Click on the tab ‘Online Registration’ at the bottom of the page

  • Log in with the registration credentials

  • Click on the tab indicating Choice Filling

  • Check the entered choices carefully and submit

  • Click on the lock button

  • If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule

  • Take a printout of the locked choices

Important Pointers for Candidates Opting for Mop-up Round Choice Locking

Candidates must note the following points before the final choice locking process:

  • The registration process including the payment of the registration fee is complete before proceeding towards the choice filling and locking stages.

  • Male candidates must ensure that they do not select female-only colleges such as Lady Hardinge Medical Colleges, New Delhi; BPS Govt. Medical College for Women, Sonepat; Ahilya Bai College of Nursing, New Delhi, to name a few.

  • Once the choice locking process is completed, there will not be any option to revoke or change the choices. Hence, candidates must be careful during this process.

The participating institutes will verify the submitted registrations on March 15 and March 16 and the seat allotment process will be done on March 17 and March 18. The seat allotment result for the Mop-up round will be released on March 19 and selected candidates will have to report to the institutes between March 20 and March 27.
