NEET 2021 Mop-up Round Institute Reporting Extended Till March 31
The NEET 2021 counselling mop-up round institute reporting process has been extended till March 31, 5 pm. Originally, the last date of reporting was March 29. As per a notification released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), due to the closure of banks in between the reporting module, the last date to report to institutes has been extended by two days. MCC received candidate requests, which led the authority to extend the deadline.
MCC has stated, “MCC is receiving many requests from candidates for extension of reporting module due to Bank holidays. Keeping in view, the closure of Banks in between the reporting module, the competent authority has decided to extend the time of Reporting by another two days i.e upto 05:00 P.M of 31st March 2022 so that candidates are not put to inconvenience in payment of fees.”
Implications of Extension of Institute Reporting
As the institute reporting process has been extended till March 31, it is expected that the seat allotment result for the Stray Vacancy round will be delayed further. Originally, the seat allotment process and declaration of result were scheduled on May 30 and March 31 respectively. Now that the institute reporting process of the Mop-up round has been extended till March 31, it next round will be delayed by default.
It is likely that the Stray Vacancy round seat allotment result will be declared by April 2 and the institute reporting process will take place in the subsequent days. The dates for the Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG 2021 counselling is yet to be announced.
