NEET 2021 Mop-up Round Registration, Choice Filling and Locking Ends on March 19

The NEET 2021 counselling Mop-up round registration and choice filling processes are scheduled to end today, on March 19. The registration process was reopened on March 16, after the conclusion of the process. The mop-up registration process deadline has been extended twice now by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). While the original deadline was March 14, it was extended first till March 16, and the next time till March 19.

Reason for Extension of Mop-up Round Dates

Although MCC has not stated any specific reason for the extension, the reasons can be estimated as follows:

1. Cancellation of allotment of candidates to BDS course at Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. Owing to a technical glitch, the allotment to this particular course and institute has been considered null and void. These candidates will have to fill and lock choices again and the fee would be refunded to them by the institute.

2. Increase of MBBS seats at Santosh Medical College. A total of 50 seats has been increased in this institute. Owing to this extension, candidates are given an opportunity to opt for these seats in the institute for the Mop-up round.
