NEET 2021 Counselling Round 2 Choice Filling Starts

The choice filling process of Round 2 NEET 2021 counselling process has started today, i.e. February 17. The last date to fill the institute choices is February 21, till 11.55 pm. The registration process for NEET 2021 counselling Round 2 had commenced on February 16. The choice locking can be done on February 21, from 4 pm to 11.55 pm. The NEET counselling choice filling process is completely online and has to be completed by visiting the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Factors to Check Before Proceeding Towards NEET Counselling Choice Filling

Before moving towards the choice-filling procedure, candidates must ensure the following factors:

  • Candidates must have completed the registration process.

  • The registration fee has been paid.

  • A tentative list of institutes and programmes must be prepared in advance to save time during the actual process.

  • There is no restriction on the number of choices, but the entry must be done in the order of preference.

  • Candidates have to enter fresh choices for Round 2 as those filled during Round 1 are now null and void.

  • Those who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but have not joined must fill in choice carefully for seats that are of higher preference than the earlier allotted seat.

How to Fill Choices for NEET 2021 Counselling

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to complete the choice-filling process:

  • Visit the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at www.mcc.nic.in.

  • Click on the ‘Online Registration’ tab located at the bottom of the page.

  • Log in with the registration credentials.

  • Click on the link of Choice Filling.

  • Select the programmes.

  • Go through the list of participating institutes and available seats.

  • Enter the choice of seats from the participating institutes as per preference on the basis of which seat will be allotted.

  • Check the entered choices carefully and submit.

  • Candidates can modify, add or remove as many colleges as they wish to during the choice filling process prior to the choice locking process.

The seat matrix for Round 2 is expected to be released by MCC on February 18. After the submission and locking of choices, verification will be done by institutes/universities on February 22 and February 23. The Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on February 26. Candidates will have to report to institutes between February 27 and March 5.
