NHAI internship 2022 for Final-year Civil Engineering students; Apply by July 15

Interested students can apply for the internship at AICTE's internship portal from July 15, 2022. AICTE has collaborated with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to provide internships to 20,000 students.

NHAI Internship opportunity for Civil Engineering Students

National Highways Authority of India, NHAI is all set to offer internship opportunities to Civil engineering students. final-year civil engineering students from NITs, IITs, and government and private engineering colleges are invited to the internship program offered by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway. Interested students can apply for the internship at AICTE's internship portal from July 15, 2022. AICTE has collaborated with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to provide internships to 20,000 students.

Internship to provide students first-hand exposure in the infrastructure development field

Under this initiative, students will be hired by NHAI for various projects, this will provide practical experience to the students and will be a very effective training program. Students will also get first-hand exposure in the infrastructure development field. The civil sector of engineering is already facing a lack of employability. Such opportunities would give a good amount of exposure and experience to students to help them carve their career paths.

Paid Internship

BTech students selected for intership will be paid. Students with a minimum of 7 CGPA would be given a monthly stipend of INR 10,000 per month, while candidates pursuing Masters will receive INR 15,000.

Internship will earn credits for students

According to the Vice-chairman of AICTE, MP Poonia, the interns will be included in various works such as road designs, construction and mechanical processing of roads. The internship will also help students learn teamwork in various other departments including Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical. A six-month-long internship would earn 18 credits. One credit would require them to put in 30 hours of practical training. Courses such as civil engineering require internships for the students to understand the actual possibilities of working in the field.
