NIFT 2022 mock test concludes today; check last-minute exam-preparation tips

The NIFT 2022 exam will be conducted in online,remote-proctored mode on February 6, 2022. 

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conclude the mandatory mock tests for the NIFT 2022 entrance exam on February 3, 2022. The mock tests were conducted from February 1-3 with the intention to help candidates get acclimatized with the online, remote-proctored exam. The design institute earlier this year had changed the mode of conduct of the NIFT 2022 exam given the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The institute has created a hotline to answer student queries during the mock sessions. Candidates who haven’t yet taken the mock tests must do it without delay, as the mock tests are compulsory. 

 

In addition to getting familiar with the new NIFT 2022 exam pattern, the mock tests will also help the candidate check their system readiness and other requirements for the online, remote-proctored exam.

NIFT 2022 Online, remote-proctored exam - Basic requirements and guidelines

• Device 1: The candidate will need a Mobile/Laptop/PC/Tablet to take the exam.The device must be equipped with a working microphone, camera, and latest chrome browser. 
• The candidate needs to sit in front of Device 1; the face should be visible at all times.
• Device 2 - This device is for additional security. This device needs to be paired. Device options include an Android Mobile / Tablet.. The device has to be equipped with a camera, microphone, and latest chrome browser along with UCanAssess app installed. The app is required to pair the second device and also for uploading scanned images of the candidate’s physical shots during the CAT exam. 
• Device 2 needs to be placed in such a way that the candidate’s rear / side view is clearly visible. 
• Uninterrupted 4G internet connectivity and electricity backup.
• A secluded and properly lit place 
• Blank A4 sheets for rough work during the GAT Examination

Last-minute preparation tips for NIFT 2022

1. Solve a couple of sample papers
2. See where mistakes are occurring when solving the sample papers; see if there is a quick solution. If not, don’t obsess over it, move on to the next topic.
3. Take the mock tests, if you haven’t already
4. Quickly go through your notes.
5. Don’t start any new topic at this stage as it will disrupt your preparation. 
6. Ensure you are properly rested, hydrated, and have take the right meal
7. On exam day, start a bit early as you need to put the exam infrastructure in place.
