NIMHANS postpones UG Online Entrance Test for AY 2022-23

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences has postponed the entrance examination for various UG courses of NIMHANS due to climate conditions.

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) has postponed the entrance examination for various UG courses of NIMHANS due to heavy rainfall and current climate conditions in many parts of the country.

Earlier, the entrance examination was scheduled to be held on July 24, 2022, and now it has been postponed to facilitate the candidates to travel smoothly from various parts of the country as the entrance exam will be held in the NIMHANS campus in Bengaluru.

The revised schedule is as follows:

• Conduct of Entrance Tesl BSc courses - July 30, 2022
• Announcement of overall results BSc courses - August 3, 2022
• Announcement of selection list BSc courses - August 10, 2022
• Admission BSc courses- August 18, 2022
• Admission for Certificate Course in Neuropathology Technology - August 18, 2022

Eligibility Criteria for UG courses

Following are the eligibility requirements:

• Candidates with PUC or 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 45% aggregate in the above subjects can apply for BSc in Nursing course.
• Candidates with PUC or 10 + 2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology or job-oriented diploma courses from a recognized board with an aggregate of 45% can apply for BSc in Radiography course.
• Candidates with PUC or 10 + 2 or equivalent with a Science group having secured an aggregate of 45% in Science subjects for BSc in Anaesthesia Technology/ BSc in Clinical Neurophysiology & Technology courses.

A relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate will be given for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD category.
