MHRD approved NIRF Ranking in 2015, to rank universities and institutes on the basis of key parameters such as “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”. From 2017 onwards, NIRF Ranking was also shared for 'Discipliune specific ranks' all institutions. Therefore, the 23 National Law Universities in India were among the top law colleges as per the NIRF Law Ranking. Private law colleges such as SLS Pune, ILS Law College, Pune, UPES School of Law, Christ University Law College etc. also among in the best law colleges in India as per NIRF Law Ranking.
