NIT Goa records 100% placement; Average package stood at INR 13 LPA

Samsung made the highest number of offers during the placements. The campus placement drive began in the month of July 2021.

NIT Goa Placement 2022: The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa has recorded 100% placements for BTech students for the academic year 2021-22. According to NIT Goa director Gopal Mugeraya, all 129 BTech students and more than 50 MTech students received job offers during NIT Goa campus placement sessions. This year, the technology institute also witnessed an increase in internship offers made to pre-final year students this year, despite the pandemic, the director told TOI.

NIT Goa BTech Student Received Highest-ever Package

The director also informed that the average package offered during NIT Goa Placements 2022 stood at INR 13 lakh per annum. Earlier, the institute had announced a NIT Goa student was offered the highest-ever package this year by Amazon of INR 44 lakh per annum.

“Amid the pandemic, the efficient team of professors and students of the training and placement cell saw over 128 companies registering for the campus placement drive. More than 200 offers were made during the placement session. Notable companies that have hired talents from NIT Goa include PSUs like Bharat Electronics Limited and ISRO,” Mugeraya said.

Industry’s top companies such as Amazon, Samsung, Oracle, Dell, Intel, IBM, Jio, Bosch, Tata Power, L&T, HDFC, HCL Technologies, Adani Group, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture and Persistent Systems participated in the placement drive. “Students have also been offered opportunities with prospective start-ups this year. Additionally, the institute has witnessed an increase in the number of internships offered to the pre-final year students by MNCs including Samsung, Dell, Intel, etc. Few BTech students of the outgoing batch of 2022 have also been offered direct PhD under Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship Scheme,” he said. Samsung made the highest number of offers during the placements. The campus placement drive began in the month of July 2021.
