NIT Warangal, RVR college partner to promote research, knowledge exchange
The agreement will help bring in joint research projects, exchange of knowledge and ideas, which in turn will help faculty and students meet the standards of National Institutes of Technology.
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RVR and JC College of Engineering to promote research and knowledge exchange. NIT Warangal Director NV Ramana Rao expressed happiness and promised to extend all help and resources required for academics, research and skill improvement for both students and faculty.
Mutual cooperation to benefit in technology transfer
RVR and JC College of Engineering secretary Rayapati Gopala Krishna said the MoU would help bring in joint research projects, exchange of knowledge and ideas, which in turn will help the faculty and students meet the standards of NITs. K Ravindra, Principal, RVR and JC College of Engineering, said the mutual cooperation between the two institutes will benefit the college in transfer of technology, dissemination of knowledge, academic and research collaboration, etc.
The foundation stone for NIT Warangal was laid by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1959. Previously, NIT Warangal was known as Regional Engineering College. It is ranked 11 and 23 under ‘Engineering’ category by The Week 2021 and NIRF 2021, respectively. NIT Warangal currently has 13 academic departments and a few advanced research centres in various disciplines of engineering.
It offers eight undergraduate programmes in various disciplines of engineering, 29 postgraduate programmes in business administration, computer application, sciences and engineering. The institute also offers PhD programme in management, engineering, humanities, sciences and physical education. NIT Warangal is a residential institute with over 3,000 students and more than 250 PhD scholars.
