Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated 17 new buildings of different engineering colleges worth INR 893.60 crores.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a total of 22 engineering college buildings and polytechnics worth INR 1087.27 crores across the state. Out of the total of 22 buildings, 17 new buildings were inaugurated by the Chief Minister.

Nitish Kumar's tweet reads, "Through video conferencing, a total of 17 buildings, including the buildings of 8 engineering colleges of the Department of Science and Technology, implemented by the Building Construction Department, were inaugurated and the foundation stone of 5 buildings was laid. The construction of these buildings will bring great convenience to the students studying here."

 

All engineering buildings are to be completed by end of 2022

CM Nitish Kumar said that he had decided to open an engineering college and a polytechnic in each of 38 districts in Bihar and buildings for these colleges were being built, only a few buildings are under construction, which will be completed by the end of 2022, as reported by TOI.

The 17 engineering buildings inaugurated are in 8 districts. The polytechnic buildings have been built in Khagaria and Bettiah. The hostels for boys and girls are built in the polytechnics of Chhapra, Sasaram, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Bakhtiyarpur and Chandi.

Foundation stones have been laid for many polytechnic buildings including in Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Gulzarbagh (Patna) and Chhapra and Motihari Engineering College. In these institutes, hostels for students are to be constructed.

Nitish Kumar said that now no one will have to go out to study under compulsion and a minimum of 35% reservation will be given to girls in medical and engineering studies, as reported by the Indian Nation.
