National Law University Delhi (NLUD) is hiring for Podcaster/Journalist on a Consultant basis, and today, June 6 is the last date to apply. Interested applicants are required to send the needed details to communications@nludelhi.ac.in with the subject “Climate Justice Course: Application for Podcaster”. All documents need to be sent as PDF files.

The university is looking for a consultant from the media, podcasting, and journalism industries to conceptualise, script, edit, conduct interviews with experts, and produce a three or four part interview podcast series around the course “Climate Justice and Climate Law: SouthNorth Perspectives” to be held from June 27 to July 8, 2022. It is a two-week online certificate course.

The assignment will start on June 15, and the podcast is to be delivered no later than July 15, 2022. This is a temporary assignment and will be on a one-time contractual basis with the University.

The consultant will be paid a consolidated sum of INR 1,20,000 (Rupees One Lakh Twenty Thousand). While 50 percent of this sum will be paid in advance, the remaining 50% will be paid on receiving the final deliverable, i.e. the fully edited podcast. 

The candidate must have a Master's degree in Communication with wide experience in producing podcasts. The required information which needs to be sent to apply for the post is an updated resume with email and contact details, a maximum 1500 word proposal describing the following - a work plan for the podcast, an itemised budget for the podcast including costs for consultant fees, editing, voiceovers, scripting, and any other expenses that may be incurred in producing a podcast (the total should not exceed INR 1.2 Lakhs), links to prior work experience that is relevant for this assignment (these need not be part of the word limit).
