National Law University (NLU) Delhi has invited applications for its flagship Diploma in Insolvency and Bankruptcy: Law, Practice, Regulations, latest by 5 July 2022 up to 11:59 pm.

The course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the legal and practical aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy laws to Government officials, policymakers, working professionals, practitioners in legal, secretarial, accountancy, academics, and researchers. The course focuses on the juxtaposition of the practical aspects, legal principles and propositions within the realm of business, and entrepreneurship with the development of a cumulative and comprehensive understanding of insolvency laws. The course also aims to acquaint and equip the participants with the practical skills relevant to insolvency laws in the courts, and tribunals in India along with the requisite negotiation and problem-solving skills.

As per NLUD's notification, the following are the key features:

  • Legal and practical aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy.
  • In-depth understanding of cross-border insolvency.
  • Process for early identification of financial distress and resolution.
  • Requisite skills for effective drafting & pleadings & negotiations with parties.
  • Global debates in the fields of general, legal and professional ethics.

Course Details

The course duration is one year from July 2022 to June 2023 and classes will be conducted on Sundays. Fee for the one-year Diploma in Insolvency and Bankruptcy: Law, Practice, Regulations (DIB) is INR

1,00,000, for six months course Corporate Insolvency: Law, Practice, Regulations (CILPR), the fee is INR 50,000, for three months courses including Cross-Border Insolvency: Law, Rules, Regulations (CBIRR) and

Bankruptcy Resolution of Individuals including Guarantors, Partnership Firms (BIGP), the fees is INR 30,000 each.
