AILET 2020 will now be held on August 18 instead of July 19 and, candidates can apply before July 7. NLU Delhi has shared revised admission notification for seat matrix and reservation.
The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020 will be held on August 18 in a remotely proctored mode. The application process of AILET 2020 has been extended until July 7, which was earlier scheduled to end today. Moreover, candidates who want to withdraw their registration from AILET 2020 can do so by July 7.

"In view of the current situation of Covid-19 in the country, the NLU Delhi had requested the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the conduct of AILET 2020 as a remote proctored test (RPT). The NTA has given consent for the same. Now the AILET 2020 will be conducted on August 18, 2020, from 11.00 to 12.30 Hrs (90 mts) on RPT mode. Before the test, the NTA will provide the detailed information and guidance to the aspirants for which two webinars & one mock test for the AILET 2020 will be conducted by NTA. The schedule of the webinars & mock test will be notified shortly."
The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has also shared revised reservation criteria after Delhi High Court directed to remove '50% state domicile' reservation following a PIL.
The official notification regarding the restoration criteria stated, "This is in supersession to the Admission Notice issued by the National Law University Delhi dated 14th January 2020 for admission to the B.A.LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M. and PhD Programmes for the academic year 2020-21 with 50% reservation for students from Delhi, 22% reservation for OBC & 10% for EWS. The decision of University for providing reservation for students from Delhi was challenged in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi through W. P. (C) 3454/2020 Balvinder Singh Sangwan & Ors Versus State (GNCT) of Delhi Through Chief Secretary & Ors. The Hon’ble High Court of Delhi on 29th June 2020 has ordered that the “status quo ante as of previous academic year shall be maintained for making admissions to the B.A.LL.B.(Five Year Programme), LL.M.(One Year Programme) in NLU Delhi for the academic year 2020-21”. In view of orders passed by Hon’ble Delhi High Court, the seat matrix is accordingly rolled back in consonance with the academic year 2019-20 as under:
