CENTAC Issues Guidelines On Common Entrance Test for BSc Nursing Admissions 2024-25; Details

The Indian Nursing Council has intimated that admission to BSc (Nursing) from the academic year 2024-25 shall be made through the CET by the State Government Common Entrance Cell / Universities in compliance with the Indian Nursing Council Regulations, 2020. 

CENTAC Admission Guidelines 2024

The Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) has issued a notice regarding a common entrance test for admission to the BSc Nursing Course in the UT of Puducherry. 

The notice clarifies that admission to BSc Nursing from the academic year 2024-25 will be under the jurisdiction of the State Government Common Entrance Cell, as reported by The Medical Dialogues. 

“The Indian Nursing Council has intimated that the admission to BSc (Nursing) from the academic year 2024-25 shall be made through the Common Entrance Examination by the State Government Common Entrance Cell / Universities in compliance with the Indian Nursing Council (Revised Regulations and Curriculum for BSc (Nursing) Programme), Regulations, 2020”, the official notice stated.

BSc Nursing CET Admission Guidelines 

The authorities have accorded approval to conduct the Common Entrance Examination for the BSc (Nursing) course by the Board of Examination of Nurses (BOEN), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry for admission to the Pondicherry University affiliated colleges with the following stipulations: 

  • The entire entrance examination process shall be initiated by the Board of Examination of Nurses, Puducherry in accordance with Indian Nursing Council guidelines. 
  • The authorities will intimate other guidelines including admission, scheme of examination and other vital details separately 
  • The examination schedule for the Common Entrance Examination will be announced with the co-occurance with ECI considering Model Code of Conduct applicability.
