A 21-year-old nursing student wrote on Reddit, asking for suggestions, claiming her nursing college demanded a 'huge amount' to release her original certificate.

Nursing College Demands Huge Amount from Student

A student shared her grief on Reddit concerning unethical practices by her nursing college. The 21-year-old student wanted to leave the college due to excessive bullying at the hostel premises. Instead of taking action against the culprits, the nursing college demanded a 'huge amount' to release her original documents, if she decided to quit the college.

The student allegedly claimed that her nursing college refused to return her original documents/mark sheet if she did not pay the demanded amount.

"The faculty and authorities took no actions against bullying on campus." The student added.

The student further said “College refused to return my original marksheet. I took admission to this nursing college in August 2022. They asked me for the original mark sheet. I submitted my mark sheet thinking it was a review process and the documents would be returned back. Fast forward to one year, I have been bullied throughout the year at the hostel. Girls spread false rumours about me and no actions were taken by the teachers and authorities. I cried all the time,” as reported by Hindustan Times.

The student further said, that when she finally decided to leave the college and wanted her documents back, the college refused to return her marksheet and asked for a 'huge amount' instead. She took it to Reddit asking suggestions about what can be done under this situation.
