The students of the Government College of Nursing (GCON), Jaipur, have urged the Principal to grant permission for the sports week.
Covid-19 pandemic has cancelled many events in schools and colleges. Now, with the declining cases and favourable weather conditions, the students of the Government College of Nursing (GCON), Jaipur, are urging the Principal to grant them permission for sports week.
Choudhary Bhagirath, an activist of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has tweeted, "We, the students of Govt. College of Nursing is requesting our college head honourable @drjogendra24 sir to look over this matter. We have written many applications to teachers, but no action is taken to date. So as our final hope, we request you to conduct the sports week."
BSc Nursing Part 1 students have written to the Principal to ask for permission for the sports event. The letter reads, "We the students of BSc Nursing part 1 convey you that till now no event was organised in our college this year. As you know sir, that todays climate is charming and favourable for sports week and after this month it would be harsh climate that can affect such kind of events to be conducted."
"It was believed that sound mind resides in a sound body only. It is possible only through sports activities. Sir, as you know that games are part of qualitative education. One can focus to his/her studies only when he/she is physically and mentally sound. Sir, sports pays innumerable benefits in one's life. So, please grant us permission for the same," the letter added.
