The online NEET UG Counselling 2021 process for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Odisha will begin on November 29, 2021.

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Cell has notified that the online National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2021 Counselling will start from November 29, 2021. All the qualified state candidates looking for admission to MBBS and BDS courses are advised to keep visiting the official websites of OJEE - www.ojee.nic.in / www.odishajee.com and also keep checking OJEE Android App to not miss any latest information.

OJEE notice reads, "The online counselling process will start from 29.11.2021 and the detailed schedule will be published in the OJEE website. Candidates are advised to keep in touch with websites www.ojee.nic.in / www.odishajee.com and OJEE Android App for latest information."

"Admission to MBBS/BDS seats of different Government and Hi-Tech Medical (Private) Colleges of the State will be done for the session 2021-22 on the basis of NEET (UG) 2021 merit list following rules and regulation of the State Govt," the notification added.

OJEE will conduct counselling for 85% of medical seats in Odisha and counselling for the remaining 15% of MBBS seats will be held by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The state has two private-run and eight state-run medical colleges with a total of 1450 medical seats for which OJEE conducts the counselling. Moreover, there are 500 MBBS seats of two deemed to be universities, and these universities follow different procedures for admission to these seats.

The MKCG Medical College and Hospital Berhampur and SCB Medical College and Hospital Cuttack offer 250 MBBS seats each, Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Education and Research (VIMSAR), Burla offers 200 seats and colleges in Baripada and Koraput offer 125 MBBS seats each and the medical colleges in Puri, Balasore, and Balangir offer 100 seats each.
