Bhubaneswar Schools, Colleges, and government offices are directed to remain closed after 1 pm today, November 10, 2022, for President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Odisha. President will be visiting Odisha for the first time after assuming office. In lieu of this, all government offices, schools and colleges both government & private coming under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation will remain closed after 1 PM on November 10.
President will visit Odisha for two days that is November 10 and 11. She will be offering prayers to Lord Jagannath at Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri today. The President will stay at the Raj Bhawan (Governor House) in Bhubaneswar during her visit to Odisha.
"Odisha | All government offices, schools & colleges (government & private) coming under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation will remain closed after 1 PM on 10.11.2022 in view of the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Odisha,” an official tweet by ANI said.
President Murmu will also be interacting with the school students on November 11. She will visit Tapoban High School, Government Girls High School Unit-II and Kuntala Kumari Sabat Adivasi Girls Hostel Unit-II in Bhubaneswar to interact with students and teachers.
She will also inaugurate various projects of the Union Education ministry from Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
Security arrangements have been tightened in view of the President's visit. As many as 300 senior police officers will be in-charge of the safety and security of the President. More than 55 platoons of police force is reported to be deployed for security arrangements of the President. Arrangments have been done as per the set norms.
