Panjab University has released guidelines for all those students who will be availing hostel facility. Students have to also submit an undertaking through the chairperson of the department that if the situation demands, they will have to vacate the hostel and leave the university accommodation.
Panjab University has announced that it has decided to begin functioning in the physical mode in phased-manner from March 10, 2022, onwards. In February, the varsity had reopened its campus for postgraduate and final-year UG students.
Panjab University Reopening: Official notification
As per the Panjab University reopening official notice, for the undergraduate courses, fourth-year students of five-year courses; third-year students of four-year courses; second-year students of three-year courses and first-year students of two-year courses, offline classes will begin from March 10, 2022.
For all the undergraduate third-year students of five-year courses, second-year students of four-year courses; first-year students of three-year courses the classes will begin from March 17, 2022. While for second-year students of five-year courses and first-year students of four-year courses, classes will begin from March 25. For first-year students of five-year courses, classes will start from March 31.
Panjab University: Hostel guidelines
Panjab University has also released guidelines for all those students who will be availing hostel facility. “Eligible students are allowed hostel accommodation on sharing basis and residents will have to follow Covid-19 guidelines issued from time to time,” the Panjab university said. It also informed all the students that they will have to vacate hostels if the Covid-19 situation worsens again.
As per the Panjab University guidelines; consent from parents will be mandatory stating that their wards will follow all SOPs/directions issued by the government and university from time to time. Students have to also submit an undertaking through the chairperson of the department that if the situation demands, they will have to vacate the hostel and leave the university accommodation.
Panjab University: COVID-19 vaccination
All the students must also note that it is mandatory that they have received both the doses of vaccines with a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours of reporting in the hostel for accommodation. Guests and visitors' entry will not be allowed till further orders.
