PG classes to start soon at AIIMS Mangalagiri, says Bharati Pravin Pawar

While her visit to AIIMS Mangalagiri campus, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar said postgraduation classes would soon be started at the campus.

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar visited the AIIMS Mangalagiri campus and said that postgraduation classes would be started soon at the campus. Currently, only undergraduate courses are going on at the AIIMS Mangalagiri.

“Construction of the in-patient wards will soon be completed and thereupon we will start the PG courses. Right now, the undergraduate courses are being conducted here,” she said, as reported by Times Now.

"AIIMS, Mangalagiri, was the first AIIMS facility to come up in south India and the institute has come up well," she added.

The minister directed officials to increase efforts for better services in outpatient wing

Responding to the complaints about poor services in the outpatient wing, she asked the officials to intensify their efforts to provide better services. 

“The outpatient wing is doing quite well here. The services here are satisfactory. We will soon have trauma care facilities as well. The institute will be further developed in a phased manner,” Pawar said.

During her interaction with the officials, she was livid over certain issues particularly the lack of water supply to the facility as it was not brought to the notice of the Centre.

Bharati Pravin Pawar visited state Health Commissioner’s office

Later, she also visited the state Health Commissioner’s office and reviewed the implementation of various health schemes, with AP Health Minister V Rajini and senior officials. She inquired about the implementation of the National Health Mission (NHM) in the state.
