Picnic turns tragic, 3 IIIT Guwahati killed in accident

The car in which the victims were travelling rolled over and fell into a nearby field at Bholagaon in Kamrup district of Assam. 

As per a report published in The Times of India, three students of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati were killed when the car, in which they were travelling, rolled over and fell into a nearby field. 

The victims were returning from Chandubi picnic spot in the outskirts of Guwahati when the incident took place. A police official said, “The victims went for some refreshments to Chandubi lake in Kamrup district as their mid-semester exams ended last week. While returning, the car, in which they were travelling, rolled over and fell into the nearby field.” 

The official said two students died on the spot, while one succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Guwahati. The incident occurred at Bholagaon in Kamrup district. The deceased have been identified as Akshit Rao and Kshitij Singh, residents of Haryana, and Manan Gyanchandani from Bhopal. The deceased were seventh semester students of the institution. 

2 students out of danger 

Two other students, who sustained injuries in the accident, are reportedly out of danger. 
The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to the family members of the the students. 

3 IIT BHU students among 7 killed in Kullu accident 

Three students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi (BHU) were among the seven tourists killed when a tempo traveller fell into a gorge in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.  Five tourists died on the spot while two others succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

Please raise the issue of trucks not to be allowed to be parked on marrow roads and also safety measures to be put in place wherever there is depth on the side of the roads. maybe some other innocent lives will be saved in future.
