PM Modi to inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur next month
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Bilaspur next month, the exact date is not finalised yet.
Himachal Pradesh BJP president Suresh Kashyap has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh next month to inaugurate an All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur district. The exact date of his visit is yet to be finalised, he added.
Kashyap said Modi will also address a Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) rally in the state soon. The exact date and venue of the rally are yet to be finalised, he said.
Kashyap told media persons before the start of the meeting of the state BJP core group at Peterhoff Hotel that the Bilaspur AIIMS is a dream project of PM Modi and BJP president J P Nadda. This is being constructed at a rapid pace and will be complete before time, he added.
BJP’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda had earlier inaugurated the hospital’s outpatient department in December last year.
About AIIMS Bilaspur
This AIIMS, built on about 247 acres of land, is located on the Shimla-Dharamsala National Highway-205 Road. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Bilaspur on October 3, 2017. After this, on January 21, 2019, JP Nadda and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur performed Bhoomi Pujan in this place.
Veer Singh Negi, Executive Director of AIIMS Bilaspur said, "AIIMS will have a 750-bed hospital with all modern facilities. There will be 15 to 20 super specialist departments. 25 OPDs have started in the AIIMS hospital building. The work of commissioning the IPD is in progress. All the wards have beds. Observation, special wards are ready. Eight operation theatres have been built on the second floor of the emergency building. All equipment has been installed," as reported by News 18.
"A 256-slice CT scan machine has been installed in the hospital. Its speciality is that its capacity is 256 slices per second. The image received from the scanner will be 3D. In a few minutes, it will scan the whole body. With the help of this technique, the identification of vascular disease is easy. An X-ray machine has been installed at AIIMS Bilaspur," he added.
