PM Modi to unveil AIIMS Deoghar special ward on July 12

During his visit to Deoghar on July 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 200-bedded special ward of AIIMS Deoghar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Deoghar for the first time in July 2022 and will inaugurate the 200 bedded special ward of AIIMS Deoghar. 

The Ministry of Health and Family has sought a complete report of the hospital building from the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC), including the Deoghar AIIMS management. At the same time, the Ministry of Health has completed preparations for the inauguration. An official of the ministry has discussed the whole program on Wednesday through video conferencing with AIIMS Director Dr Saurabh Varshney, as reported by Prabhat Khabar.

Goal is to complete at least 200 beds in AIIMS Deoghar special ward by July 5

A target has been given to make at least 200 beds completely ready by July 5 in the hospital building of 750 beds. Along with this, instructions have also been given to set up all the equipment in two operation theatres by June 30. Oxygen pipe connection work is being done for 200 beds. After the civil work is done in the hospital building, glass work is being done, which has been targeted to be completed in 15 days.

Preparation for PM's visit started in Deoghar

Chief secretary Sukhdeo Singh, who is likely to visit Deoghar on June 30 to take stock of the preparation, has given special instruction to Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhanjantri SP Subhash Chandra Jaat besides DC of Dumka and SP for doing the preparations.

About Deoghar airport

The Deoghar airport will be second in Jharkhand after Ranchi and it was jointly developed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Jharkhand government at the cost of INR 401.34 crore. The airport is spread over 653.75 acres of land and its terminal building is being built over an area of 4,000sqm whereas the runway is 2,500 meters long, last week the successful landing and take-off trial was completed, as reported by Daily Pioneer.

He will offer prayers at the temple of Lord Shiva in Deoghar where he would inaugurate the Deoghar airport on July 12, 2022.

PM Modi will also address a gathering at Deoghar College Ground. His visit coincides with the famous Shravani Mela which is a centre of attraction. The mela will start on July 13.
