Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann promises 16 new medical colleges in 5 years

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that the AAP government will set up 16 more medical colleges in the state in the next five years so that the medical aspirants need not go to countries like Ukraine.

“The state has a glorious legacy of producing world-class doctors. None of the successive governments in the state focused on establishing quality medical colleges in Punjab, as a result of this, a large number of students have to go abroad for medical education. The students aspiring to pursue medical education will no longer have to go to countries like Ukraine. On the contrary, these students will be provided quality medical education in these medical colleges," the chief minister said, as reported by News 18.

"Aam Aadmi Clinics are the first step towards providing free healthcare to the needy at the doorsteps while new medical colleges, universities, schools of eminence and sports stadiums in various disciplines nurture the talent of the budding players and prepare them for national and international events will soon become a reality,” he said to The Tribune.
