Railway Recruitment 2023: Over 3 lakh posts lying vacant in Indian Railway
Among the vacant posts in the Indian railways, over 70K posts are vacant under the safety division including in the signal and telecommunications and traffic transportation departments all across the country.
As per reports, Indian Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared in Rajya Sabha that around 3.12 lakh posts are lying vacant across different departments in the Indian railways.
Among these posts, more than 70,000 posts are lying vacant under the safety division which includes the signal and telecommunications and traffic transportation departments all across the country. This becomes all more highlighted after the tragic Balasore rail accident.
“Out of a total 3.12 lakh non-gazetted posts in the Indian Railways lying vacant pan-India as of 23 December 2022, there are a total of 77,079 vacancies under the signal and telecommunications and traffic transportation departments all across the country,” said the minister.
He also shared that “there were 14,815 vacancies in the signal and telecommunications department and 62,264 in the traffic transportation department,”, as reported by Jagran Josh.
Indian Railway Board, normally announces openings Group Wise. All posts under the railway department are divided into Gazetted and Non-Gazetted categories. Gazetted include (Group ‘A’ and ‘B’) Posts and Non-Gazetted Include (Group ‘C’ and ‘D’) Posts.
For detailed information on the available vacancies, the candidates must visit the official website- indianrailways.gov.in. A state-wise list is available under the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).
RRBs issue notice about refund of examination fee
"An email containing a format of Bank Accounts Details will be sent to all such candidates on their registered email ID, who have lodged their queries/complaints through Help Desk. Candidates will also be informed through SMS regarding the email. All such candidates are requested to revert the email within time with correct credentials of Bank Accounts in the format. RRBs shall not be responsible for further failure of refund, if any, on account of incorrect details furnished by the candidates and will not entertain further correspondence in this regard," reads the official notification.
