Indian Air Force (IAF) has conducted AFCAT (1) 2022 exam across multiple exam centres in various cities of the country. The exam is conducted in two shifts-9.45 am to 11.45 am and 2.15 pm to 4.15 pm. According to the feedback provided by students, the overall paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level. The General Awareness section was easy, Verbal Ability in English was easy, Numerical Ability was moderate, Reasoning was moderate and Military Aptitude was easy to moderate. The General Awareness questions were asked from the events that took place in the past six months. There is a change in the exam pattern. In English, PQRS based questions were asked rather than Antonyms and Synonyms. The number of questions/weightages has changed in Reasoning, Maths, and English. The military Aptitude section, which earlier was the part of Reasoning section, was merged with the General Awareness. There were fewer questions from Military Aptitude.

AFCAT exam pattern is such that it is divided into four sections-General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. The duration of the test was two hours. The question paper carried a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to AFCAT exam are 300. Shiksha reported live from one of the AFCAT 1 exam centres in Nangloi, Delhi, where around 200 students appeared for the exam to gather their feedback regarding the overall difficulty level of the paper. Check below the feedback shared by the students.

Mahesh and Yogesh said, "The paper was moderate to easy level. Reasoning section was easy, Maths was easy to moderate, English was easy, Military Aptitude easy and General Awareness was easy. The Military Aptitude section this year has been merged with General Awareness. Not much questions were asked from Military Aptitude. The number of questions in Reasoning has been reduced to 25 from 32. The number of questions in Maths has been increased from 18 to 20. In English, questions have been increased from 25 to 30."

Ashwin said, "The paper was easy to moderate. There has been a change in the types of questions in Maths and English. The General Awareness questions were asked from the events that took place in past six months."

Irfan said,"The paper was not so difficult but there was a change in the exam pattern. Earlier we used to have 32 questions in Reasoning but now 25 questions were asked. The level of the paper was moderate and time currency. The questions in Military Aptitude were asked from Cryptocurrency and ranks in Air Force."

Simran said, "The overall paper was moderate and there was a change in the exam pattern. The GK section was easy but Maths and English sections were moderate. The difficulty level of the Reasoning section is the same as the previous years. In English, PQRS pattern-based questions were asked. Those who have practiced well will find all the section easy."

Preeti said, "The overall paper was good but there was a change in the exam pattern. The number of questions in Maths has been increased. Earlier in English, most questions were asked from Antonyms and Synonyms but nit PQRS pattern-based questions were asked. The weightages of sections have increased."
