Rahul Gandhi has emphasized that in crucial departments such as Railways, Home Ministry, and Defense Ministry, there are significant vacancies – 2.93 lakh, 1.43 lakh, and 2.64 lakh respectively.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again brought attention to the issue of youth unemployment and the abundance of vacant positions in various government departments. Taking to X, Gandhi shared his concerns, stating, "Youth of the country, note one thing! Narendra Modi's intention is not to provide employment. Far from creating new posts, he is also sitting on the vacant posts of the Central Government.”

According to data presented by the Central Government in Parliament, Gandhi highlighted that a staggering 9 lakh 64 thousand posts are vacant across 78 departments. He further emphasized that in crucial departments such as Railways, Home Ministry, and Defense Ministry, there are significant vacancies – 2.93 lakh, 1.43 lakh, and 2.64 lakh respectively. Gandhi questioned the government, asking why more than 30% of posts are vacant in 15 major departments.

Continuing his critique, Gandhi raised concerns about the vacancies in the Prime Minister's office, questioning the government's efficacy in addressing the issue. He stated, "Why are a large number of very important posts vacant in the Prime Minister's own office, who is carrying a 'bag of false guarantees'?"

Gandhi accused the BJP-led government of promoting the contract system over permanent jobs, highlighting the lack of security and respect in such arrangements. He asserted that the vacant posts rightfully belong to the youth of the country and outlined Congress' commitment to filling them. Gandhi affirmed, "India's resolve is that we will open closed doors of jobs for the youth. The destiny of the youth is about to rise after breaking the darkness of unemployment."

As the Lok Sabha elections loom on the horizon, Rahul Gandhi's remarks underscore the significance of addressing the pressing issue of unemployment and fulfilling the aspirations of the country's youth. With job creation and economic prosperity at the forefront of political discourse, Gandhi's statements signal a renewed focus on addressing the challenges faced by millions of unemployed individuals across the nation.
