Candidates are advised to carry the below-mentioned items with them into their allotted exam centre.

  • Candidates need to being CSIR NET 2024 Admit card with self-declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from NTA Website.
  • A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
  • Additional Photograph
  • Personal transparent water bottle
  • Any one authorized photo IDs which must be original, valid and non-expired. It can be college identity card with photograph/PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/
  • Aadhaar  Card with photograph/ E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with photograph
  • Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.

What not to carry at the exam venue?

Candidates are not allowed to carry Instruments, Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room. Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting etc. in the Examination Room/Hall is strictly prohibited.

    CSIR NET 2024: Exam Day Instructions

    • Candidates should arrive at the exam centre at the time indicated in the CSIR NET 2024 admit card as the reporting time.
    • Once the examination centre gate is closed, candidates will not be allowed to enter.
    • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.
    • After the completion of the exam, candidates need to wait for the invigilator's instructions. One by one candidates are allowed to come out of the examination hall.
    • The CSIR NET admit card is provisional, subject to satisfying the CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2024 as given in the Information Bulletin.
    • It is advised to the candidates to verify the examination centre a day in advance so that they do not face any sort of problems on the examination day. 
    • If religion or customs require you to wear specific attire, then please visit the exam centre a little early for thorough checking and frisking.
    • The candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination centre without an admit card, self-declaration undertaking, valid ID proof, and proper frisking.
    • The candidate also needs to enter the required details in the Self Declaration (Undertaking) in legible handwriting, paste their photograph, and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the admit card. This needs to be done before reaching the exam centre.
    • PwBD candidates (with a disability of 40% and more) will be allowed an extra 20 minutes per hour of the examination.
    • It is also important for PwBD candidates to bring a PwBD certificate issued by the Competent Authority if claiming relaxation under the PwBD category. The scribe provided by the NTA must also carry his or her own Self Declaration (Undertaking) regarding educational qualification, passport-size photograph, valid government identity, and self-declaration (Undertaking).
    • Candidates are not allowed to carry personal belongings, electronic devices, or mobile phones to the examination centre.
    • Shoes or footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are also not allowed.

    Checklist for CSIR NET 2024

    • Candidates must carry a printed copy of CSIR NET admit card, one passport-size photograph (same as that on the application form), any one of the photo ID card (PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport, aadhar card) and PwD certificate, if applicable
    • They must not carry any bag/purse or any material from the list of prohibited items inside the CSIR NET exam hall
    • They will not be allowed to leave their seat or exam hall without the permission of the invigilator or before the exam gets over
    • If any candidate is found in unfair practices will be booked under unfair means case can be debarred for 3 years
