CSIR NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the CSIR UGC NET exam from today: July 25, 2024, for three papers. As per the exam timings, the CSIR UGC NET 2024 is being held in two shifts. The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon for Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences and Physical Sciences. Whereas, the CSIR NET 2024 second shift will be conducted from 3 to 6 pm for Mathematical Sciences.

Those appearing for the exam must be aware of all the CSIR NET exam day guidelines. Apart from that they must carry their CSIR UGC NET 2024 admit card and any one photo ID card for verification. They must note that only after the exam is over, they can leave the hall.

What To Carry For CSIR NET 2024 Exam?

  • Candidates must carry a printed copy of the CSIR NET admit card 2024 that has to be downloaded from the official website
  • Along with the CSIR NET admit card, they must carry any one Original ID proof or government-issued ID Proof like a college identity card, PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhar Card etc.
  • They need to carry one passport-size photograph for the attendance sheet
  • Candidates having PwD reservation need to carry a PwD certificate if applicable

CSIR NET 2024 Exam Important Instructions

  • While going to the exam centre of CSIR NET, they must not carry any electronic device including mobile phones, log tables, calculator, Bluetooth devices etc
  • They must not carry any bag inside the CSIR NET exam hall as the authorities will not be responsible for any loss
  • They must reach the CSIR UGC NET exam centre as per the reporting time. Entry to the exam hall will be closed 30 minutes before the exam starts
  • They must sit at their allotted seats in the exam centre
  • They will not be allowed to leave the exam hall or their seat without the permission of the exam invigilator

Q:   When will the CSIR NET Notification 2024 for the December Session be released?

A:

CSIR NET Notification 2024 for the December Session has been released by the National Testing Agency on the official website. Along with the notification, CSIR NET December Application Form 2024 is also released by the NTA. Interested candidates will be able to apply for the CSIR NET 2024 exam by registering on the official website. The NTA will release the CSIR NET Notification in a PDF format. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to conduct the CSIR UGC NET exam to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) in Indian universities and colleges.

The CSIR NET 2024 exam dates for the December session are February 16 to February 28, 2025. However, the June session was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for 5 subjects from July 25 to July 27, 2024. The National Testing Agency NTA has been entrusted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to conduct the Joint CSIR UGC NET exam to determine the eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) in Indian universities and colleges. There will be five papers: Mathematical Science, Life Science, Chemical Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. Normally, NTA CSIR UGC NET is conducted twice a year in June and December. The CSIR NET exam is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Q:   Which are the cities where CSIR NET exam is conducted?

A:
The CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) exam is conducted in various cities across India. CSIR NET exam is conducted in a total of 225 cities. The cities where the exam is conducted are spread across different states and regions of India, and include major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and others. Candidates can select their preferred city for appearing in the exam during the online application process, subject to availability. The exact list of cities where the exam will be conducted is usually announced by the CSIR along with the notification for the exam.

Q:   What photo ID proofs do I need to carry to the CSIR NET exam centre?

A:
Candidates need to carry anyone of photo-ID proofs such as Passport/ PAN Card/Driving License/ Voter Card/ Bank Passbook/ Aadhaar Card/ Ration Card. Candidates will be allowed to carry the following items to the CSIR NET examination centres: a) Personal transparent water bottle, b) Personal hand sanitiser (50 ml) c) A simple transparent Ball Point Pen d) CSIR NET admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website e) Additional passport-size photograph f) Original valid ID proof No candidate will be allowed to enter the centre wearing his/ her own mask. The face mask will be provided at the centre.
