On December 26, 2022, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CTET 2022 admit card for December 28 and 29, 2022. This year, around 32.35 lakh candidates have registered for the CTET 2022 exam. As per the official notification, CBSE will conduct the CTET 2022 exam on multiple dates, starting from December 28, 2022, till February 7, 2023.
CTET 2022 Exam
CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is an eligibility test that is conducted by the CBSE every year to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in the Central Government School, such as KVS, NVS, etc. It is a national-level eligibility exam. The CBSE will organise the CTET 2022 exam online in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
CTET 2022 Paper 1 and 2
The CTET 2022 exam will be held in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1–5 (Primary Teachers), and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6–8 (Elementary Teachers). Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1–8 need to take both papers. The CBSE has so far conducted 15 editions of the CTET exam.
CTET 2022 Exam Date
The CBSE is conducting the CTET 2022 exam from December 28, 2022, till February 7, 2023. The CTET 2022 admit cards will be released two days before the exam.

CTET 2022 Exam Centre
The exam centres for the CTET 2022 exam are allotted by the CBSE on the basis of preferences chosen by the candidates. Candidates are required to choose four exam centres in order of their preferences while submitting the CTET application form for 2022. Candidates need to make their choice of exam centres carefully, as the CBSE does not entertain any request for a change of centre later under any circumstances.
CTET 2022 Qualifying Marks and Expected Cut Off
The CTET exam conducting authorities decide the CTET 2022 exam qualifying marks.The authorities have not fixed the CTET cutoff marks, candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to pass the exam. As per the CTET qualifying marks 2022 fixed by the CBSE, general category candidates need to obtain a minimum of 60 percent marks and reserved category candidates need to obtain 55 percent marks to clear the exam.
CTET 2022 Exam Syllabus
The CBSE released the CTET Syllabus 2022 for Papers 1 and 2 on the official website on October 21, 2022. The CTET syllabus is prescribed by the CBSE as per the NCTE guidelines. The CTET exam consists of two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET syllabus for Paper 1 includes topics from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, and the CTET syllabus for Paper 2 comprises topics from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Science, or Social Studies/Social Sciences. Candidates who want to become teachers for Classes 1 to 5 need to appear for CTET 2022 Paper 1 and if they want to teach Classes 6 to 8 then they need to appear for Paper 2. Those who wish to teach in Classes 1–8 must pass both papers.

The CTET exam is now valid for a lifetime. CTET-qualified candidates are awarded eligibility certificates. Candidates who qualify for the CTET 2022 exam will be able to apply for teacher recruitment in Central schools at any point in time until they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective recruiting agency or school.

CTET 2022 Paper 2 over: When will the provisional answer key be released?
CTET 2022 provisional answer key will be released in the form of a pdf by the CBSE tentatively in February 2023 on the official website at ctet.nic.in. Candidates who appeared in the exam will be able to raise challenges against the CTET 2022 answer key for a certain period of time. Therefore, the CTET 2022 final answer key will be released after considering all the objections raised by the candidates along with the declaration of the CTET 2022 result for the December session.

CTET 2022 Paper 2: How to Challenge CTET Answer Key 2022?
While going through the answer key, it is possible that candidates are not satisfied with the given answer(s) of any question(s). In such a case, candidates can challenge the answer key by paying a fee of INR 1,000 per question in online mode. Steps to challenge the CTET 2021 answer key are mentioned below:
- Visit the official website of the exam
- Click on the link available for the CTET answer key challenge
- Enter roll number and date of birth (date/month/year format)
- Click on Login
- Click on the link available for submitting challenges
- A page with instructions on how to challenge the answer key will open on the screen. Read all the instructions carefully
- Select the question to be challenged from the dropdown menu
- Click on the ‘Select for Challenge’ button
- Click on the ‘Click to Enter Your Answer’ link
- Select the correct answer option against the selected question
- Click on the ‘Update’ link
- Click on the ‘Finalise Challenges Submission’ button
- Make the payment of INR 1,000 per challenge in online mode via credit card/debit card/internet banking

CTET 2022 Paper 2: Guidelines to be followed inside the examination hall

Candidates should take their seats immediately after the opening of rooms.

A seat indicating roll number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates should look for their roll numbers and occupy their allocated seats only.
- One seat gap must be maintained between two seats.

Candidates who come after the commencement of the exam will now be allowed to sit in the exam.

No candidate, without the special permission of the invigilator, will be allowed to leave his or her seat until the paper is over.

Smoking, chewing gutka, spiting, having tea/ coffee/ cold drinks or snacks are not allowed inside the examination rooms.

The CTET 2022 Paper 2 reporting time is 1:00 p.m. The CTET 2022 exam will begin at 2:30 p.m. and entry will start from 1:00 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. at the exam centre’s entry gate. Candidates who will be late will not be allowed to give paper after the scheduled CTET exam timing 2022.
