Enforcement Directorate Takes Action in Alleged Scandal Involving Second-Grade Teacher Recruitment Exam
The arrested individuals were presented before a special court in Jaipur, which subsequently ordered three days of custody for the accused. The ED's investigation revealed intricate details of the scandal, involving financial transactions and a network facilitating the leaked papers.
Arun Sharma, during the investigation, was found to have arranged 29 candidates for Anil Kumar Meena, charging Rs 2 lakh per candidate for providing the leaked papers. Anil Kumar Meena reportedly received an advance of Rs 40 lakh for this service. Additionally, Peeraram is accused of transporting candidates by bus and providing correct answers to the leaked question paper.
Topaz, another individual implicated in the case, played a crucial role by organizing accommodations for the candidates, distributing the leaked question paper, and aiding in solving it.
Pukhraj, who personally appeared in the examination held on December 24, 2022, admitted to receiving the leaked paper from Suresh. The investigation further linked members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, including Babulal Katara and Anil Kumar Meena, to the scandal.
The Enforcement Directorate has invoked various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) under PMLA, 2002, based on the FIR and chargesheet filed by the Rajasthan Police. The scandal came to light when the scheduled second-grade teacher recruitment examination on December 24, 2022, was canceled abruptly after the paper began circulating on social media.
The ED, working in tandem with the Rajasthan Police, continues its rigorous investigation to unearth further details and ensure justice in what has become a significant incident impacting the recruitment process in the state. The accused remain in ED custody as the investigation unfolds.
