Government of Haryana has extended the validity of HTET certificate by two more years, now HTET passed candidates will have the certificate valid for seven years.

The government of Haryana has extended the validity of Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) and State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) certificate to 7 years. Earlier, the validity of these exams was 5 years. This rule to be applied or all recently HTET passed candidates who are yet to join as teachers in government schools.

The decision comes as a relief for around 90000 HTET qualified candidates whose validity was about to get over soon. The Additional Chief Secretary (School Education) Mahavir Singh has issued an order to this effect. The decision has been taken to pacify the HTET passed candidates as there was no vacancy announced for government schools after 2012.

HTET or Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH). This is an eligibility test for the candidates who are looking for opportunities in various government run schools in Haryana as teachers.

HTET is held for different levels of teacher recruitment such as Primary Teacher (PT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in schools run by Haryana State Government. The state level offline exam is held once a year or based on the requirement, last the exam was conducted in 2019 and the HTET result for the same has already been announced.
